  1. Not if you pay for decent glass.
  2. Does temperature change really affect guitars that much? There are pro musicians travelling all over the world with the same instruments for decades, going from cold cargo hold of a plane to baking hot festival tent then back to a cargo hold and off somewhere cold.
  3. Slower to 60 due to the auto box and no launch control but a lot faster when it gets going. It sounds better as well. They're holding their value due to rarity, I think it's 150 they built in total. 24mpg isn't just optimistic, it's a lie. Mine does 18 on average. I also pay considerably less tax due to mine originally being registered as a prototype.
  4. What you want is a Jaguar XFR. I can fit in a 4x10, 3 basses and a load of other gear, it has a brilliant Bowers & Wilkins sound system and do near enough 200mph. What more could you need? If you need more space there's the XFR-S estate which has even more power, is louder and is completely unhinged
  5. I had a conservatory built on our last house. We went for the top spec, high tech glass with the best thermal efficiency for keeping warmth in during winter and heat out during summer. It was very good in the winter but during summer it regularly got over 40 Celsius. UV damage could be an issue as well.
  6. That's a beautiful bass. I've wanted one based on the sounds Rex Brown used to get out of his
  7. Excellent suggestion
  8. I seem to be learning grunge classics at the moment. Rooster has been the most fun so far. Any other suggestions for great grunge songs to play?
  9. I came across this earlier about the Chilli Peppers lowest point. I'm not a huge fan of post BSSM chilli peppers but I'll listen now and then but this song blows.
  10. Avenues & Alleyways - Rancid
  11. Long slow goodbye - Queens Of The Stone Age
  12. I'm afraid mine is rather simple but I think it's now right how I want it Harley Benton power supply Boss TU3 tuner Origin Effects Cali76 compressor Darkglass vintage microtubes overdrive Two Notes LeBass preamp. The Le Bass has a beautiful creamy clean channel and the dirty channel just adds a nice, light valve overdrive. The vintage microtubes is set to give a really nice dirty tone when combined with the Le Bass clean channel. The compressor is just always on. It's all a bit monochrome looking but gives the sounds I want. I am very tempted to replace the Le Bass with a Origin Effects bassrig super vintage.
  13. Sit down - James I hate myself for even mentioning that band but I'm too lazy to think of an alternative.
  14. Angry chair - Alice In Chains
  15. Angry Inch - Type O Negative
  16. Outkast Stinkfist - Tool
  17. Stay clean - Motorhead
  18. Cigarettes and alcohol - Oasis
  19. Everything's ruined - Faith No More
  20. Green hell - Misfits
  21. Descending Angel - Misfits
  22. Devil man - White Zombie
  23. Fat bottom girls - Queen
  24. It does seem that a big hit early on does ruin bands. I think they end up afraid to do anything creative after that just in case it doesn't do well. They need to keep the sales up once they've got used to the money, women/men/other and drugs. Like Dave Hedgehog in Bottom said, it's all about birds, booze and budgerigars.
  25. I would argue the talent point is unfair. He can technically sing, he just does it in a way that sounds so bland. I think that's the problem with Coldplay, they're all decent enough musicians, they just make music that is extremely bland. It's the sonic equivalent of beige.
