  1. The Darkglass Tone Capsule is very good. What I found very useful is that it has a high mid control instead of treble. It just seemed to be a much more useful frequency. The preamp board is nice and compact and comes pre wired and there's no soldering, just screw connections. I put one in a SUB (not US) stingray and it improved it massively even with the original, cheap pickup.
  2. Does anyone know what the picks are that come with Darkglass products? I'm sure they're not making their own. I like them but don't want to buy more pedals just to get a few spare picks.
  3. I bought a trolley from Screwfix. It lasted long enough to get my gear in to the rehearsal room but not get it back out again.
  4. Listening to it or playing it? This tab seems pretty good.
  5. I've really enjoyed this one. Really fun to play and not too difficult.
  6. Be quiet and drive (far away) - Deftones
  7. Jesus Built My Hotrod - Ministry
  8. Heaviest matter in the universe - Gojira
  9. Machines of hate (Self bias resistor) - Fear Factory
  10. You'll be needing one of these
  11. Green machine - Kyuss
  12. You do realise this is Britain? The difference between summer and winter is the temperature of the rain.
  13. I quit my last band when the two guitarists demanded that I bought an SVT with 8x10 and got it within their three week deadline. The Trace cab was heavy enough. If you threw things at it they'd get trapped in orbit.
  14. Violent pornography - System Of A Down
  15. Lysergic funeral procession - Down
  16. Methamphetamine blues - Mark Lanegan
  17. Burn - Nine Inch Nails
  18. Marijuanauts theme - Sleep
  19. Dopesmoker - Sleep
  20. Dragonaut - Sleep
  21. I've driven a sunny. I believe it had half a horsepower, maybe less. A very reliable car but dreary is an understatement. I've also own a Trace 4x10 and it weighed more than a collapsed star. That doesn't sound like a good combination.
  22. I'm not sure whether you're joking or not. I think that's one of Nirvana's least interesting bass lines
  23. I think the classic Pro is a bit less bright than the Vintage Pro but I turn the tone knob down to about a quarter to lose a lot of that extra brightness.
  24. I actually went to the shop with the intention of buying a Gibson but just out of curiosity tried the Vintage Pro. It definitely sounded better to me, maybe not quite as nicely finished but overall, I preferred the Vintage Pro to the Gibson even ignoring the £1000 price difference. Mine is set up for tuning down to C with some DR DDT strings. It sounds like thunder. Put on a nice light overdrive and it sounds fantastic.
  25. So does Alice Coopers bassist, Chuch Garrick. According to the experts on the Thunderbird Facebook group, they cannot possibly be standard Epiphones and must be hand made specials which look like Epiphones because a non US built bass would disintegrate by the third song.
