If they want you there during work hours and you all work then tell them they need to pay to cover the income you lose from your day jobs. It's additional to the service you originally quoted to provide so it seems reasonable to charge for it.
Bloody hell that's a disgrace. I can fart with better timing and tone than that and it won't stink as bad.
I find most slap annoying. Slap solos in particular. I know I can't say that here but it just sounds bloody awful to me.
If you see the original band play the song live they'll rarely play it exactly as the record. I guess they would get bored reciting it exactly the same every night on a long tour so they have some fun with it. Why not do the same I a cover band?
I can't watch Scott's bass lessons. Is it a 10 minute video with some jazz noodling, an explanation of his day so far and then in the final minute he tells you to never hold down the low end without stretching?
Core strength is the way to go. Get your core muscles built up through gentle exercise and your back will be doing so much less work. Its made a huge difference to me in everything I do.
Pilates may not seem like a very manly exercise but it really works well.
My back is a bit of a mess after falling off a cliff (a bad day rock climbing). Pilates is seriously helpful. Building core strength really helps take the load off of your spine.
I started on Megalomaniac by Incubus this afternoon. A nice bit of funky heavy rock, great bass line and fun to play. I've got most of it worked out, just a section towards the end to learn now.
I've had an Orange 2x12 isobar cab for a couple years now but never really understood the point of it.
It's compact but heavy for a 2x12 and doesn't sound like a 2x12. What waste reason for the design?
Even if you don't like his music, James Blunt is one of the most entertaining people on twitter.
There are comedians who don't deal with hecklers as well as he does.
None of the big couriers will insure musical instruments.
I just pack it to survive a direct hit from a nuke and clearly write the address on in a few places and hope for the best.
My daughter plays hysteria spot on. 16 years old, only playing two years and it makes me sick!! 😫
She was annoying me one day repeatedly saying "I don't know what song to learn " so I said go and learn Hysteria. She did, I didn’t expect that!
Thanks. Some good tips.
I do hit the strings fairly hard. Geezer Butler is a bit of a bass hero so I've tried to copy his style of picking hard but then Geezer doesn't play fast.
I'll work on getting a much lighter touch on the strings. It's going to take some time I think.
