I think I'm going to try an MXR 10 band. My preamp is great and I can set it's on board EQ for each of the two channels but when I set it to blend both channels it combines the EQ settings and doesn't sound quite right so I just want to be able to run an EQ pedal after it and just switch it on with the belnded channels.

I've been in a band with a very heavy pot smoker. Each rehearsal I'd get a call from him today he'd be late because he lost his car keys then when he arrived he'd have a smoke before setting up and between each song we'd have to listen to his latest conspiracy theory about Bill Gates/5G/Aliens/vaccines then the inevitable "do you fancy a line?" before a rant about how you never know what they put in vaccines (he never saw the irony). We all quit in the end because we'd pay for five hours in a rehearsal room and play for less than an hour and we just got fed up with the unpredictable solos.

I really enjoy rehearsal. Group of like minded people in a room playing music. What's not to like? My band mates are good people, we get on well, take the fosters, jam around some punk riffs to warm up and have fun with it. You can learn the parts. individually at home but you need to practice together to get used to each others playing and get your sound working together and get things wrong without an audience.

Today I've listened to a lot of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Brilliant dirty rock and roll with the dirtiest sounding hollow body bass. They're also an incredible live band. No jumping around the stage, no fancy stage design, no talking to the audience, no gimmicks. They just come on stage, plug in and smash out an hour and a half of non stop music that sounds just vaguely like the album version.
