  1. Forget picks? The bloody things end up everywhere. I recently took the dash board out of my car and found a couple yellow tortex picks in there. Every pair of trousers or coat I own seems to have them in the pocket. I can't escape the brightly coloured triangular bastards. I play both styles (never slap, I hate slap) and both have their benefits. There is something about fingers and fuzz that I particularly enjoy.
  2. Certainly Pick: Fugazi - Waiting Room Deftones - Rocket Skates Deftones - Ohms Megadeath - Holy Wars Tool - Stinkfist Fingers: Kyuss - 50 Million Year Trip Electric Wizard - Funeralopolis Sleep - Dragonaut Audioslave - Like a Stone Both in the same song : All Them Witches - When God comes down Some bassists (Geezer Butler for example) play with fingers but hit the strings really hard so get a really sharp attack without a pick.
  3. For me it depends on the specific song. Some songs work best with the attack of a pick, some sound better with the subtlety of fingers.

  16. It is a great song though. You should have played it.
  17. It's an early start this morning so I thought I'd start the day with something very, very dark. I'm a big fan of Chelsea Wolfe
  18. Just because it wasn't your thing doesn't mean it wasn't significant. I can't stand Elvis but I'm not dumb enough to say he wasn't incredibly important in the history of music. I don't think Nevermind was Nirvana's best album and I don't think Nirvana were the best grunge band but Nevermind was the album that really started the explosion of grunge in the early 90's. If it wasn't for that record I think grunge would have remained an underground genre and just another branch of punk
  19. The bar is low - whizzed Jeans
  20. Lesbian Seagull - Englebert Humpadink
  21. Woman - Wolfmother
  22. Am I evil - Metallica
  23. Is that a Gibson Telecaster? (Pointing at Rickenbacker bass) Can I play it for a song? I once stood in for Keith Moon on guitar with Aerosmith on the slipery when wet tour.
  24. Withered Hand Of Evil - Uncle Acid And The Deadbeats
  25. Sweet Leaf - Black Sabbath
