  1. I'm not sure but I'll guess Black Sabbath's first album? The most important album ever released ever in the history of the universe and the birth of heavy metal
  2. True but it was still one of the all time great rock albums.
  3. RHCP and Pixies both released their last good albums on the same day? It doesn't feel like 30 years.
  4. I think Nirvana were the pop group of grunge, they made records to appealed to more than just punk, alternative and metal fans who were already listening to bands like Mudhoney, Tad, Melvins etc. There was something a bit more catchy to their music where some of the other bands were playing music that wasn't as instantly likable and needed a few listens. The whole first grunge band discussion can go the same way as the first punk band discussion and there is no right answer. Grunge was something that evolved out of alternative rock and hardcore.
  5. That looks like it's been painted by a hot rod pin striper, I know all of ZZ Top were hot rod owners. I rarely listen to ZZ Top but they've definitely influenced a lot of my favourite bands.
  6. I'm learning Waiting Room by Fugazi. Brilliant song and all about the bass line. It's only really one riff but it's quite fast and has to be played very cleanly, all imperfections in playing stick out a mile.
  7. Today has been a great selection of doom, sludge and stoner metal with the highlight being some Crowbar.
  8. But if you can still walk after moving it, can it be called Trace Elliot?
  9. Judging by what Trace Elliot make these days it'll be a crap lump of plastic from China but it'll be green.
  10. The shooting star - Gojira
  11. Hole in the earth - Deftones
  12. Bullet with butterfly wings - Smashing Pumpkins
  13. South of Heaven - Slayer
  14. I think most Peavey's are underrated. I had a Zephyr and still have an International and considering how well they play and how good they sound, they are dirt cheap. I regret selling the Zephyr.
  15. Albatross - Corrosion of Conformity
  16. Diamonds are forever - Shirley Bassey
  17. Diamond Eyes - Deftones
  18. If you want cheap, small and practice then the Skoda Roomster is superb. It costs bugger all to run an has an enormous boot for a small car. You can also remove the back seats completely and it's a small van
  19. TV Dinners - ZZ Top
  20. The Pretender - Foo Fighters
  21. Covered in punks blood - Desert Sessions
  22. Yes, I really like Mutoid Man as well. That's all good 👍
  23. I'm with you on that. It looks a bit awkward where the normal Thunderbird looks fantastic.
  24. I've always wondered whether he stays with the Hoffner more for aesthetic reasons and fans nostalgia rather than it being the best bass for the job.
  25. Prison Sex - Tool
