  1. My old neighbour learned to play the didgeridoo at Glastonbury. Maybe it was the same person who taught him. We enjoyed him practicing in his garden in the evening for a while but after three weeks of two hours every evening it lost its appeal
  2. I remember an article in the Daily Sport (a fine publication) which said that a tower block in Swindon had the highest rate on inbreeding in the country. Anyway, back on topic. The helicopters have started going back and forth to the festival. About one every half hour today. By Friday it'll be three or four times that many at least. Very environmentally friendly.
  3. Liar. The people of Midsomer Norton do not marry outsiders by which I mean outside the family
  4. I work in Midsomer Norton. Be careful there, its a strange place.
  5. I saw Slash's band there several years ago and was really disappointed. They played far too many GNR songs and it was just like seeing a covers band play the pyramid stage. If I was there this year I'd be seeing Skindred, The Damned, Viagra Boys and QOTSA and just spend the rest of the weekend wandering around just watching random stuff, drinking poor quality, warm beer, sampling different food and confusing people who have had too many psychedelic drugs.
  6. Speakers have far more effect on tone than amps
  7. It may effect the point at which the valves start to overdrive very marginally but as has been shown in many experiments, valves don't effect tone. Could be the air density in the room.
  8. Uncle f****r - Terence & Philip (South Park)
  9. Draconian Times by Paradise Lost I hadn't listened to this for years. Great bit of 90's goth metal with some great bass and killer drum grooves in places. Highly recommended. As I write this the record has just finished and Tidal has gone on to Type O Negative's Bloody Kisses album so it's it's a good morning.
  10. I do some backing shouting. With our particular style of punk / metal crossover I don't need to be able to hold perfect pitch or make the lyrics understandable. I just have to get the timing and general attitude right.
  11. Band 1 Guitarist seemed like a decent bloke on the phone but never turned up on time, forgot about it completely twice possibly because he was a massive pot head. We all quit and went our separate ways. Band 2 Great music, thought I'd have no chance of getting the gig but did. The two guitarists were convinced we'd be full time pro within 6 months and spent a ton of cash on pro level gear then insisted I do the same. My response of "let's see where this goes before I drop £7k" did not go down well. I quit and so did the drummer shortly after. Band 3 Me and the drummer met at a jam session and got on well. He had a mate who plays guitar. Primary aim of the band is to enjoy what we're doing. We play loud, simple punk/metal crossover. It's going great.
  12. Maybe she was dragged along to take her kids. At every gig there's at least one person who'd rather not be there.
  13. Is he underrated? I thought he's generally recognised as one of the all time greatest pop song writers.
