  1. I swap between fingers and pick depending on the song but I do it because of the different sounds. You could probably even it out a bit with EQ and compressor pedals but it'll all depend on how hard you're picking with each style.

  13. The Vintage Microtubes pedal is very different to other Darkglass products, it doesn't have their distinctive sound. It actually does give vintage drive tones. I'd recommend trying one if you get a chance. I also have the Darkglass B3K which is the typical Darkglass sound and very different

  17. I've got the Geezer pickups in one of my mex P basses. Those pickups combined with a Darkglass vintage microtubes overdrive is perfection for me
  18. And there's no point trying to set up anything if your strings are past it.
  19. Exactly. One person's perfect tone could be a long way from someone else's perfect tone and what you might like in isolation might be no good with a band.
