  1. Nancy boy - Placebo
  2. Bottles to the ground - NOFX
  3. The Vintage Microtubes pedal is very different to other Darkglass products, it doesn't have their distinctive sound. It actually does give vintage drive tones. I'd recommend trying one if you get a chance. I also have the Darkglass B3K which is the typical Darkglass sound and very different
  4. Going Blind - Melvins
  5. Hellraiser - Motorhead
  6. We are 138 - Misfits
  7. I've got the Geezer pickups in one of my mex P basses. Those pickups combined with a Darkglass vintage microtubes overdrive is perfection for me
  8. And there's no point trying to set up anything if your strings are past it.
  9. Exactly. One person's perfect tone could be a long way from someone else's perfect tone and what you might like in isolation might be no good with a band.
  10. Is it a used bass with old strings? If it is, replace them before doing anything else
  11. Learning to swim - The Skints
  12. Finland - Cult Of Luna
  13. A Forest - The Cure
  14. I keep the EQ pretty flat. Tone 2/3rds up and plenty of gain. I find my P basses sound like crap with old strings. Try some fresh strings. I love the sound of DR Black Beauties on mine
  15. Owlwood - Cult Of Luna
  16. The Industrialist - Fear Factory
  17. I've had a couple Darkglass Tone Capsules. I'd fir them in any active bass. The feature I really like is instead of bass, mid & treble controls they have bass, low mid and high mid which just seemed so much more useful. They're solder free fitting as well.
  18. Down in a hole - AIC
  19. My current band doesn't feel like any sort of work, it's just all fun
  20. My band mates are skint so could use the cash but I'd prefer to play for free so it's not work. I guess there's a simple answer to that
  21. We just recorded our EP. Having a good recording engineer makes a huge difference and a producer who understands the style of music you play.
  22. I would choose a more competent bassist and a bigger amp for the guitarist, his 50w 1x12 struggles to keep up with my 500w 4x10
  23. Super massive black hole - Muse
  24. Not until we get in a studio again. Maybe next year.
