I'm having trouble with volume difference between strings. When I'm with the band my lowest string is nice and clear but the volume disappears as I move across the strings. Im playing a Fender Mexican standard precision but it's tuned down to A# F A# D# and fitted with .130 .100 .080 .065 string guages. All four strings are the same height off the pickups. Any suggestions?

Do Stranglers count as early 80s? I think Peaches has the greatest bass tone ever. Absolutely disgraceful and brilliant at the same time

My daughter was until recently in a band called Herbivores until the vegan singer left and told them they couldn't use the name any more. She threw a bit of a tantrum when they renamed themselves Carnivores. What else could they do?

Last night was Grade 2 at the Louisianna in Bristol. They are an oi punk band from the spiritual home of punk, The Isle Of Wight. Absolutely brilliant show, the whole band are really talented, the bassist in particular was awesome, he had a real Matt Freeman style going on. Support band Rats Nest were really good as well, three young lads with a ton of energy and talent. The louisiana is a great venue. Decent sound,decent beer, nice size room and it seems they have live music every night.
