  1. Loser - Beck
  2. I've got 3 P basses and quite happy with them so I'll have an Ibanez EHB1505.
  3. I touch myself - The Divinyls
  4. Happy ending - The Strokes That's got to be double points
  5. Probably not too good if you want a nice smooth jazz tone but if you want it bright and punchy then they're great. I'm getting some great punk tones
  6. I got a set of DR Black Beauty strings from senior management. They sound awesome on my P bass. They look great on a white bass as well
  7. Spread your love - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
  8. Black hole sun - Soundgarden
  9. Return of the mack - Mark Morisson
  10. Return of the phantom stranger - Rob Zombie
  11. Liar - Rollins Band
  12. I failed. I had perfectly decent gear at the start of the year. Everything I needed but I still bought two Fender P basses and a Darkglass vintage overdrive. I did sell a Sterling Ray34 and Epiphone Thunderbird vintage pro. I regret selling the Thunderbird, it sounded amazing. Its with the current Hawkwind bassist now so I'm sure I'll see it played properly at some point.
  13. I did bring up muting later in the discussion. Both questions have been answered. I've got some good tips and have been trying some of the techniques suggested to see what works for me.
  14. Global warming - Gojira
  15. Sit on my face - Monty Python
  16. The bit about dogs derrières was pretty much on topic. What is or isn't punk was very off topic.
  17. This Trace Elliot AH1200 would do nicely. I loved the sound of my old GP12SMX head but it just wasn't powerful enough. 1200 Watts should get the job done
  18. I didn't see this one coming. Faithless were huge during my clubbing years and his vocals were always so distinctive.
  19. An old hippie who wrote songs for better musicians to cover.
  20. They asked him not to sing "F**k you. I won't do what you tell me" What did they expect??? Politics in music goes at least back to the blues. Apparently Bob Dylans lyrics political but all I hear is vowels
  21. Cain's wife Paula White is a crackpot of the highest order. Utterly insane. Claims to have walked around heaven with god and seen the spare parts department where you get replacements for limbs you lost in life when you get to heaven. Music and politics have been linked for a very long time. Some of the greatest artists have been very political.
  22. 50 million year trip - Kyuss
  23. The end - The Doors
  24. It's not trying the same thing if it's a different dog
  25. How many times have you tried? Just because it didn't work once doesn't mean it'll never work.
