I wasn't too impressed last time I went in. I tried a p bass, they set me up next to a guitarist with a really loud amp and when I turned up the amp they set me up with so I could just about hear it a sales person came over and turned it down. The bass felt nice but I've no idea how it sounded.

I was offered tickets to see Andy Powells Wishbone Ash in Frome last night, unfortunately I couldn't make it. I had some communication with Bob Skeat about a bass I was selling. He came across as a nice bloke, offered tickets after deciding it wasn't the right bass. Hopefully I'll see them another time. I heard from a friend the show last night was very good.

People do pay crazy money for old crap. Just look at the value of Austin Allegro's, up to £10k for a really tidy one and they were terrible cars.

This morning it's a bit of post punk by Savages. A great band who unfortunately split after only a couple albums.

I didn't know who he is so googled him. In a Google image search, there aren't any pictures of him playing a black jazz bass. He may have owned it but was it something he used as a shelf in the shed and didn't actually play?

I love the look of it. If I had the spare cash I'd buy it exactly as it is. I like that you can see the age and see its worked hard and most importantly, it's real wear and age rather than a new one attacked with sandpaper.
