1. Keith is a top chap. He hand delivered the bass yesterday (from France!) and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire transaction. Great Basschatter.
2. I'm sure that you will like it. I've had a few Status basses and they have all been uniformly excellent. Enjoy Shaker
3. I'm very interested if the sixer become available to buy again. Please PM me if it does. Shaker
4. George is a top chap, easy deal, no problems....nice bass as well:)
5. George You have PM Shaker
6.
I'd say the hardest thing is to get all the band members to pull in roughly the same direction.
+1
7. I stand corrected:)
8. If everything works then it is a very good buy for £40. Solid wood and DiMarzio pickups, and I think Made in Japan. If you can get it set up nicely you will have got a major bargain. Good luck Shaker
9. It's a Hondo...it might have been called a Pro 2 but I'm not sure on that point Early 80's with Dimarzio pickups if I recall correctly, and very solid. Shaker
10. I think that Ejb is looking for one. Check out the wanted section. Shaker
11. 'Sold' to thisnameistaken. All proceeds donated to Basschat. Shaker
12. All PMs replied to, and now sold, subject to the usual. Shaker
13. The old 'nuts v. bass' conundrum. I understand the difficulty. Looking at it dispassionately, the bass probably sounds better plugged into an SVT than the nuts, and is certainly tonally much more flexible...it does have an SD preamp Truckstop is correct, this is an absolute bargain price for a gem of a bass. Shaker
14. This is my (very) bright red Washburn XB-600 with the Seymour Duncan STC-3 preamp. As you can see it is a bolt on model with JJ type pickups, J Bass string spacing and also quite rare to have the matching headstock!. The good bits It plays fantastically well, has a low. buzz free, action, set up by Jim Fleeting, and is currently strung with D'Addario 25-130 Nickels. It has a Seymour Duncan STC-3 preamp, with Volume (with the pull 'Slap' switch), Blend, T&B (on concentric pots) and Mid. All pots (except Volume) have centre detents (That's nearly £80 worth of preamp!) and it sounds awesome. The bad bits The body looks like it has had an interesting life. To be fair you would never need to worry about scratching it:) The pickups have quite a low output. That said the SD preamp turns this into a tone-monster! In summary Sounds fantastic, records beautifully and looks characterful. A highly cost effective 6 string. This has no case but I will pack it very very well. Happy to answer any questions. A complete bargain at £125 plus postage. Happy if you want to pick it up too. Shaker
15. It is in the title...Chrome Bass Fatfinger £15 posted. I will edit the original post to make it more explicit. Shaker
16. As the title says I have a Chrome Bass Fatfinger (heavier than the guitar version) for sale. I had it on my 'bitsa' P Bass and it took away some unevenness on the G string, and generally lifted the tone. New neck and I don't seem to need it any more. I would like £15 donated to Basschat and I'll post it. Shaker
17. You could also try Jerome Davies, who is based in Sissinghurst. Very good, quick and great VFM. www.jeromedavies.com Shaker
18. ...and sold to BigBeatNut. Thanks Andy Shaker
