I'm selling my Traben Chaos Core 5 String as I'm playing more guitar these days and already have two Traben John Moyer basses so grab a bargain. I got this imported from the U.S. at some considerable cost and have not been disappointed with it at all. I've recorded two albums with it and the Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp really sounds great for rock, hardcore, metal and punk. The heavy bridge really gives it a big sound and the Rockfield pickups really sound great (why they've never made replacement bass pickups in this range is beyond me). The 5 string neck is wide and flat yet really comfortable. Its set up nicely and its never let me down. Specs are: BRIDGE chaos internal bridge SCALE 35" NECK CONSTRUCTION bolt on PICKUPS two rockfield® humbuckers ELECTRONICS Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp CONTROLS three-band eq with volume and five-way switch BODY Royal Paulonia TOP burled maple or quilt maple FRETBOARD Rosewood NUT synthetic I don't have any pics at the moment, but to give you an idea of what it looks like: Not really interested in trades but would consider an good Explorer type guitar (not Epiphone!) Postage will be around £25.00 or you can pick it up from North London. Doesn't come with a gig-bag or case but I'll pack it well if posted.

I like the look of these but I don't know how Rickenbacker haven't come down on them like a ton of bricks.

Really can't see the point of this bass. The headstock reminds me of a cross between the new SX range and the only Peavey headstocks. For that money I'd want something a bit special, not some re-hashed Fender copy with a moody headstock.

Nothing whatsoever. Go in clean and eq on amp. Just some new zingy DR strings and whack up the gain on the amp.

Desperate For A Dep Bass Player - Punk Gig Abroad
WHUFC BASS replied to WHUFC BASS's topic in General Discussion
May possibly have this position covered now chaps so thanks for all your interest ! -
I would normally post this in the bass players wanted section but we're desperate at the moment so here goes . We've got a gig coming up in the Czech Republic at the end of the month (27th October) and its turned out our bass player can't do it due to work commitments. I'm trying to find a bass player who is into punk music who can learn 13 songs by the end of the month 27th October (the date of the gig). We did have a bass player who said he could do it, wasted two weeks getting the songs over to him and him learning them, only to ring up last night to say he can't do it. All the other bass players I know are either busy or say they can't learn the songs in time. I do realise its short notice but this is a great gig apparently which will be very well attended. We've got a good following abroad and its a paid gig yet nobody wants to help us out so it would seem. I'm currently stressing out due to a lack of a bass player. Any takers ? It would mean learning 13 songs and doing one - maybe two rehearsals before hand. I realise this is short notice but we wasted time with the other bass player who let us down. The songs are reasonably easy to learn - no complicated runs or flash bits, just solid bog standard 8th notes for the most part. Gear will be provided for the gig but you must have a passport ! PM me if interested.

GPS for Guitars and Basses by S7 guitars. http://strictly7.com/gps-tracking Not sure why more manufacturers don't start doing this. It'd be nice to turn up on the doorstep of some toe-rag who's stolen your axe and tear him a new one AND retrieve your guitar too.

I like it - wouldn't spend the stupid amount of cash to buy it but I think it looks OK.

They sound like a right bunch of tossers, like a lot of record labels. Hence the reason we put out all our own stuff. Never had any complaints and they do special offers if you like them on arsebook. The also do digipaks which look a lot better than just a carboard sleeve. Cheaper than 950 sheets too.

Listen to the band Agnostic Front. Roger Miret seems to get away with singing out of tune most of the time - if he can do it, I'm sure anyone can do it.

I used to have a black one of these and it still irks me now that I sold it. They are superb - ultra reliable Floyd Rose too which isn't floating and ensures the thing stays in perfect tune. The neck is also probably the most comfortable neck I have ever played on a guitar ever. They really are that good. Considering these aren't made any more I'd snap this one up - the only reason I'm not is that I am broke at the moment

Cleaned my teeth, put on my best clobber, Tonight's the night I'm going to knob her Vauxhall Viva's covered in rust, But you can't shag a bird on a 29 bus ... Beer and Sex and Chips and Gravy Macc Lads Extra kudos for using a kazoo in the song

I oughta have my f***ing head examined for screwing with a skank like you. But it wasnt like I really fell for you, I was just cold and empty through and through... (Blood For Blood, So Common, So Cheap) All you numbers in the cell block: All you sweating in the detox: To all you hoods that are dodging cops And to all you bleeding from a broken heart You know youve got a brother here. ... I always class Motorhead's first album "On Parole" as pub rock. Some great tracks on there too ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kegItmzd--o

I saw the title of this thread and thought - this is going to be the usual pony shred / fretboard ego trip but after giving it a listen, its actually very very good. Well done to you sir. Great playing and a great song too.
