2. Bought some strap locks from Alain which were delivered promptly and well packed. Thanks mate
 3.
I've just bought a HT5 head and that sounds superb. It was a toss-up between that and the Orange Dark-Terror. The HT5 sounds superb. Loads of gain. I quite fancy this though - for the price, you can't go wrong.
Oh and by the way, you have to remember Chappers is a supreme guitar player.
 4.
Similarly to the Blackstar HT5H it's a great sounding head through the matching cab but (again same at the HT5H) once you put it through a good 4x12... just, wow. The price just seems totally disconnected from good the thing sounds. Gets incredibly close the Tiny Terror (albeit a fair bit quieter)
I've just bought a HT5 head and that sounds superb. 6. I've just bought the head version of this (with reverb) and can confirm they are superb value for money. There's plenty of gain in there as well as having really nice clean sounds too.
 7.
This is why, IMO, its much better to be a bassist in a punk band compared to most metal where the bass is usually too slow, dull, and boring. There are expections, obviously, but if you love bass, punk (especially modern punk like NOFX, Lagwagon, A Wilhelm Scream) is the way to go.
thumbsup!
 8.
They are touring the UK December this year, Rock city basement on Dec 1st for example.
We were supposed to be supporting them too until some twat stuck his oar in ... oh well.

 10.
how about the bassline for 'Die Young' for instance? quality playing in my book.
There are rumours flying around that Geezer never played on that album for some reason. Not sure how true that is.
 11.
I quite like some of the songs on NSD, a more experimental jazzy feel with some good keyboard work from Don Airey. For a band falling apart it wasn't a bad effort.
Hear hear ... some great tracks: Never Say Die Hard Road Air Dance and the best track on the album ... Over To You. Superb song.
 12. Rock 'n' Roll Jelly with Jeff Beck is a great track.
 13.
Stuff your dvds mate.
^^^^^
 14. I really struggle to find anything bad that Sabbath did. My favourite band of all time ever. Geezer is an inspiration on bass, as is Iommi on Guitar. Great British heavy metal - a genre defining band.
 15.
So it's all done, barr a bit of soldering to be done tomorrow. Needs a setup as i've changed the bridge out. And the Chromes are pulling the neck a bit too, so truss rod will be getting a tweak. And yes, i'll have to turn the Neutrik Jack around...I am a dopey sod sometimes. But yeah, pretty chuffed, looks great, and hopefull will sound ace. Only minor issue I had during the refit was the screws I got with the bidge were utter garbage and one sheared off - A bit of a fight with some mole grips and it's all sorted, using the old Yamaha screws! Hope you like it, going to try and record something this weekend with it.
That looks great. What would really set it off though is spraying the headstock the same colour blue. Would really give it a more classy look I reckon.
 16.
No... But it's a poster with my band's name on it
aaaah ! Close but no cigar. What's your band's name ?
 17.
Ah found one.
Bloody 'ell mate, do you play bass for GBH ?
 18. Absolute classic. I want this to be the anthem for the Olympic Games. ... and here's another one ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOiuDAPHxCE
 19.
John Mcvie. Not a shadow of doubt in my mind that this bloke could throw out chops with the best of them yet his playing is always subservient to the song. Throughout his long career he has always played with a lot of restraint and self control. I don't know of many others who were content to remain in the shadows as such an unsung hero .
Cliff Williams of AC/DC always impresses me with his solid no-frills basslines. That's what bass playing is all about - the song.
 20. CD turned up today Tim - thanks for that, really appreciate it. I think I'm on my way to having an ASBO already ! Neighbours aren't impressed.
 21. I can't believe this hasn't sold. These are by far the best straps I have used. Superb quality and if this was black leather with white stitching this would have sold within minutes.
 22. No mention of Bert Weedon - the catalyst to the most inspirational guitarists
