1. Bump for pics, apologies for the quality. I'll see if I can do some more later on.
2.
Pics of the bass, please?
Apologies, I've been really busy these past two nights, I'll see if I can get them up on here this evening. Cheers!
3.
If I'm honest, so do I
4. Comfort Strapps on all my guitars and basses. I like the look of some of them Minotaur straps though... http://minotaur.gr/catalog/
5.
any single which hasn't spent three weeks at no 1 is not as good as Mr Blobby's 1993 single.
I love that song.
6. Replied. I forgot to add, this bass will probably need setting up. It plays fine, but there is a slight buzz to the upper register notes on the E and A strings. Nothing too serious at all but I just don't know how to set basses up (to my eternal shame!).
7. Sold Mart a set of Bare Knuckle Strat pickups. Transaction was smooth and a pleasure to deal with.
8. I got a Sterling Ray34 and I like it, but it doesn't really cut it for the sort of music I play. Its a great bass don't get me wrong and it sounds just like a Stingray but for the style of music I play, I find the Traben basses much more suited, hence the reason I want to out this and get another Traben. I'd be looking for £375 firm. It comes with gig-bag and the tools that came with it. Its never been gigged and is in perfect condition (I've only had it less 4 months). Not massively desperate to sell it, but if anyone out there fancies one, this would be up for grabs. As usual, its collection only from North-East London. I'll put photos of the actual bass up tomorrow. Its identical to this one:
9. Lemmy. You're over 60 years old, you get to shag fit birds, travel the world, drink copious amount of alcohol, play some of the best music around, tour extensively, have the moniker of living legend, still got your own hair and be safe in the knowledge that you've never sold out, compromised or apologised for what you do. Oh and above all, your British.
10.
I bought WHUFC's SX Precision. I'm so pleased with it. It's great He's a really nice guy, very helpful, a pleasure to deal with and let me try his other basses over a cup of tea while I was there. Sorry I inadvertently stole his pick though !
Ah ha! I wondered where that went ! No probs at all! Glad you like the bass.
11. Some sort of DI box for me - either a Sansamp VT (now sold though) or sometimes even just a preset I've made up myself. Rarely mic an amp up although the idea of using a mixed DI and mic'd signal does intrigue me, its just the hassle of setting everything up and getting the right sound. I usually find it easier to just go direct in.
12. Cheers chaps. The drums are actually drum loops from BetaMonkey - probably the best loops you can get. All pre-recorded and in time. No need to worry about Neanderthal drummers. The guitars are an ESP Viper and a custom Washburn Idol going through a Peavey 5150 combo. The bass is just my Traben Chaos Core going direct into the MAC. All recorded on Logic 9 and Garageband. There's an album coming out next year with a load of similar songs on it.
13.
Wow, that is some upper arm muscle definition. Must have one of these:
14. Bare Kuckle Pre-wired Strat 3-ply Black / White / Black Scratchplate loaded with a Bare Knuckle Nailbomb humbucker and two Bare Knuckle Irish Tour single coils. I've had this ages but never got round to putting it in a Strat. I have way too many guitars and need to off-load this. Its standard Fender spacing. Not sure if this will fit Squiers without manking new screw holes but as far as I know, it will fit without any routing providing it has the "swimming pool" type routing. £150 + postage - no trades. Now with pics..
15. Had a few PMs asking if I will post. Not at the moment I'm afraid. I have neither the time, nor do I trust the postal service to deliver it in one piece
16. SX Precision Bass for sale. Really nice precision copy in sunburst with tort scratchplate. Plays really nice and sounds the dogs nuts with the Wizards. Pics are here *I've used the previous owners pics - I hope you don't mind Legion... Its in good nick, I've never gigged with it, used to it to record a couple of times and thats it. Its been sat here, gathering dust. I'm looking for £125. Sorry, really don't want to post this as its collection only. I'm not interested in trades either, unless you've got a Peavey JSX you're flogging.
17. Personally I think the wiring block with screw terminals is a great idea. It will easily allow for various pickup configs to be tried out.
18.
Cheers guys. But I'm a student too!
Steal it. That's what anarchy is all about !!
19. DR-Hi Beam strings Ampeg or Trace Elliot tube head, 4 or 8x10 cab.
20. I'd love to buy this, just to dress up like Vincent Price in full vampire get-up and scare the absolute sh*t out of my neighbours... then pretend I was on a 7.s game show with a speed boat as the first prize..
