2. Here's some footage of it being played. He's actually selling the bass and its going to be on telly on some programme about antiques or something. They offered him £3,000 for it and he told them to shove it.
3. The singer in my band is an old git and went to see the Ramones back in the day. Anyway, at the concert, Dee Dee handed the bass down into the audience and our singer had to fight tooth and nail to get it but got it in the end. Anyway, he used to be in a band years ago and their bass player used to use it. He's still got it and brought it round the other day. Its a 78 Precision in white (although is discoloured now) with a red scratchplate. Originally it had a silicone sealing around the plate and pickups to stop moisture getting in (that was Dee Dee's mod) but the jack socket end was cracked so he replaced it with an identical one, made by the same people who supplied Dee Dee's one. It's a pig to play with high action and doesn't sound that great to be honest. Typical precision sound but the output isn't all that great. Everything's original apart from one tuner and the strap pins. If you look here, you can see it in action. a few days later, this bass was safely sitting in my mates house. Here's some pics of it.
4.
The necks on these 80s Jackson necks are fantastic, I regret selling mine. They're worth every bit of £500, I think £200's criminal.
You ain't wrong ! I had a Charvel Model 3 with a Kahler Trem and the neck was great, second only to the neck on my US Peavey Wolfgang.
5. All PMs replied to. Still for sale. May consider a trade for some decent studio monitors.
6. Bump for price change - £375
7. Cubase is gash. Get Logic. Much better.
8. Brilliantly played mate, superb execution.
9. I wouldn't pay too much heed to these polls. They are largely irrelevant and attempt to measure the immeasurable. Its a bit like having a poll on which fruit is the best tasting.
10. sorry! bump///
11. Rainbow - Long Live Rock and Roll
12. I used to own two Riverhead Unicorn basses. A black one and a electric pink one, both of which were given to me. They were OK basses, very light and portable but lacked real bottom end I though.
13. I found that with the K5 that I had. Its a nice playable bass but the output and sound just didn't do it for me.
14. Bump for pics, apologies for the quality. I'll see if I can do some more later on.
15.
Pics of the bass, please?
Apologies, I've been really busy these past two nights, I'll see if I can get them up on here this evening. Cheers!
16. Will also trade for Marshall JCM 2000 TSL
17.
If I'm honest, so do I
18. Comfort Strapps on all my guitars and basses. I like the look of some of them Minotaur straps though... http://minotaur.gr/catalog/
19.
any single which hasn't spent three weeks at no 1 is not as good as Mr Blobby's 1993 single.
I love that song.
20. Replied. I forgot to add, this bass will probably need setting up. It plays fine, but there is a slight buzz to the upper register notes on the E and A strings. Nothing too serious at all but I just don't know how to set basses up (to my eternal shame!).
21. Sold Mart a set of Bare Knuckle Strat pickups. Transaction was smooth and a pleasure to deal with.
