I'm reluctantly selling this guitar as I'm after a new amp. This is a great guitar, really good specs and a really nice guitar to play that leaves Epiphone, LTD and Ibanez guitars for the same price standing. Its also been signed by Nick Catanese of Black Label Society. Spec as follows: • Mahogany body • Bound, carved flame maple top • Mahogany set neck • Fingerboard radius 14" • Bound Ebony fingerboard • Bound headstock • Black Label Society Skull insignia on headstock • EMG Zakk Wylde Pickups • 3 way toggle Switch • Black Speed knobs • Tune-o-matic bridge with stop tailpiece • Deluxe gold hardware • Buzz Feiten Tuning System™ I've put some Planet Waves Auto Trim tuners on it which in my opinion are the best tuners out there. String changing takes seconds, they even cut the string to size too. Read the reviews: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews...+Signature/10/1 I'm looking for £260 I'm in London.

"This bass isn't designed to have a low action"
WHUFC BASS replied to Mokl's topic in General Discussion
Is there any written documentation saying that these basses aren't designed to take a low action? I'd wager there isn't. I would have confronted the person who said this and asked him where he'd gotten his information from. I then would have embarressed them by saying that THEY didn't know what they were doing, were a bad salesmen and quite frankly a fraudster. -

Its true, it was a great amp and the only reason I sold it was to go down the 1x15 route. In hindsight maybe I should have kept it but at the moment, I am doing gigs where 95% of the time amplification is provided for me and I'm really stuck for space in my house so the 4x10 and the 2x10 had to go. The reason for me wanting the smaller 1x15 combo is for when I need to provide my own amplification.

Sorry mate, haven't been through Oxford in months and have no plans to in the near future. Here's a bit of blub about the SWR from the original seller: Has the original PAS speakers, which are rebranded eminence. They had bigger magnets than the production ones, to give give better bottom end. Just the speakers themselves are quite sought after! One wasbreconed about 2 years ago by Wembley Loudspeakers, which was more expensive than just buying a new eminence driver because it just wouldn't have sounded as good. It originally had "banana plug" connectors but they've been changed for a quarter inch jack. The crossover has been replaced with a very high quality Link Dynamics LDX24 one. Although the original attenuator is still there, its not wired in, so the tweeter is always on. This is not a problem, as it's a phenominal Fostex tweeter (the original one), which itself is not exactly cheap! There's nothing to stop you wiring in the attenuator, if you feel so inclined.
The H & K guitar amp sounded amazing, never heard one before but it blews the Marshalls away.
The H&K Triamp is the best guitar amp bar none. They also cost an arm and a leg!
I saw Motorhead this time last year and they were so much more entertaining (and not just the fire-eating Brazilian strippers!). Just goes to show that song choice is everything.
Me too...that was the Motorizer tour. I saw them in Cambridge (my mate's mate does the lighting for Motorhead and got us in on the guest list) with Saxon and its the best gig I've been to in a hell of a long time. I missed this one as I was gigging, judging by the sound of it, I didn't miss much.

Sold

This SG looks a lot like an SG I sold a while back to a bloke who I think came from North West London. The "SG" truss rod cover isn't standard to this model - I put one on mine from an Gibson Faded SG that I had and I think I recognise the wear around the control cavity. Either way, I sold mine for a lot more than the asking price here so have a bump on me. -
Guitar exotica heaven.

Thats a f***in travesty. A great live music venue being turned into a restraunt - makes me sick. As if there aren't enough restraunts as it is! London is turning into one big housing estate interspersed with restraunts that sell alcohol. Who says our culture ain't dying ?
singing stupid lyrics during practice, farting down the mic and just generally being a dick
Ha ha! Sounds like our drummer....and our singer come to that. I f***ing love rehearsals. Its just one huge piss-take of each other in-between songs. Nothing is sacred, no holds barred. We're still productive but the piss-taking is merciless.

Here's a novel way of beating the neck dive... Notice the large protruding strap button! Bit extreme but it probably works a treat.

Drum loops are 100 times better imo and they don't come much better than the Beta Monkey drum loops. I use them all the time for practicing and composing. They are recorded by a live drummer on a real kit so sound just like a proper drummer.

Thats why we should be using Traben Basses made from Royal Paulownia http://www.paulowniasupply.com/index.htm Grows up to 30ft in 3 years, easily sustainable and you know what, it sounds half decent too. Cross between basswood and ash. "Paulownia Trees are drought resistant once established. Their roots tend to go deep into the ground in search of water, rather than on the surface. This makes planting around the tree easy and makes it friendlier to nearby walkways or fixtures. Unlike some fast growth trees that have short life spans, a healthy Empress Tree can live for 80 to 100 years."

Ephiphone and Tokai both do Thunderbird copies. They're OK - not great to be honest. I've owned both. If you're hoping for anything other that looking liking a Thunderbird, then you'll need to go down the road of Orville and Greco copies (which are superb basses and much closer to the original that Epiphone of Tokai have ever done). The sound is very very close to an original Gibson. The Greco has a slightly wider neck which is good for headstock strength as Gibson Thunderbirds are notorious for breaking. If you want a virtually identical copy of a Gibson then go for the Orville. They are almost identical as they are made under license in Japan.
