I have a DHA DI-EQ. Not sure what the model number is but on the back is says "custom shop" dated "Aug 09" and the seriel number is "0673". No idea if this is a one-off or not. I don't think it's working at the moment either.

Is it more comfortable than the Doug Wimbish Spector neck? That's the slimmest neck I've played on a 4 string Spector.

Some UK Subs to start the weekend ...

Saw this and thought it was pretty novel. Looks like the sort of thing John Entwistle would have been playing back in the early days of The Who. Really not sure about the price though .... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/225156149981?hash=item346c5a32dd:g:TDYAAOSwSnJg~98d&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAoMHH%2B2BMKenkAWheEF7r%2F7T%2BqCW4End7t%2BwdS8GzVofCeW5zA67s3Y%2B3D6mVGPhnCfyxIafe71ueijxrPQoYWYFdbByQpx21ZAT4vy4W3m8I8LgMkpwygDlNfFI9QjH54vCjL4rKZQVau7NMtq1y76JWbQTNaN59%2F6vJd%2BZrQ9QEI1kz%2BtCPFcbFHQodKraYweh3waHn0ThlBPP0vxjl6hs%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR8zxvIbxYA

Really surprised this is still here and if I had the cash, I'd be all over this. I have the later 1000rb and it's a monster amp. I've heard great things about the 400 and 800RB heads, especially for recording. Just touching on the effects loop thing ... if you do find you have sound issues (severe crackling, loss of sound or intermittent sound) a good fix I've found (did it on a 5150 guitar head) was to spray contact cleaner down the send and return jacks and put a jack lead in and out a few times to spread the cleaner (also worth doing the inputs too). Fixed mine up like new.

That Alembic looks gorgeous mate. I do like black and gold on a guitar.

Purple Electrics Mic - Anyone have any info?
WHUFC BASS replied to Jack's topic in Accessories and Misc
It looks like a rebadged Chinese copy of an SM57. Not sure if the Thomman T-bone MB-75 is the same but that mic gets great reviews and there's plenty of comparison reviews on eBay. -

Roland GR77 ... the Odd Bass!
WHUFC BASS replied to WHUFC BASS's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I remember I had a Boss Octaver pedal in the late 80s and it also had problems with low notes - it'd freak out on a low E note, like my missus trying to make her mind up whether to stay in or go out. -
Not eBay but Reverb. I remember when the guitar version came out in the 80s and I just didn't get it. Anybody got/had one ? Also, what's a midi pickup when it's at home? https://reverb.com/uk/item/51512512-roland-gr77?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=1726164661&utm_content=campaignid=1726164661_adgroupid=70264195649_productpartitionid=1651608931582=merchantid=218269047_productid=51512512_keyword=_device=c_adposition=_matchtype=_creative=391637461803&gclid=CjwKCAjw4ayUBhA4EiwATWyBrgD3SGPGHPr7oa3SVahYmTw62CWC7d7EGZTO-2wMoV-mCqjzrvpFWxoC2VQQAvD_BwE

The bottom line is if they can't provide a demonstrable linear graph to show the difference between their cables and others then they can be 'effed off without a second thought. Anything presented without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. Same goes for valves and "tonewood" (in electric instruments) - another huge scam.
-
As long as you get a reasonably good quality cable, that'd be fine. The whole super-expensive cable thing is just a massive con, just like tone wood and valves/tube making a difference to your sound.
