  1. EHX Nano Q-Tron. I bought this new in January but have barely used it. Home use only. Excellent condition with original box and warranty card. Velcro on bottom. There’s a small fingerprint under the sticker lacquer but you can only see it when the light is shining on it. Includes postage to UK mainland.
  2. Genuine US Stingray pickup 4 string. Got this from @Ander87 so I’ll have to defer to him if any more details are needed. Had intended to use for a project bass but that’s unlikely to happen. Collection or £5 postage.
  3. Bought a thumb rest from Nick in a simple and straightforward transaction. Timely comms and arrived the next day as described, top banana!
  4. Markbass Octaver Raw. I don’t have original box but have another pedal box to ship in for an additional £5. Collection welcome. http://www.markbass.it/product-detail/mb-octaver-raw-series/
  5. The old cliché of "I don't really want to sell this, but" ... I have had no self restraint lately and am up to a number of basses far exceeding what is sensible for a play at home hobbyist. Probably off for a commission sale next week but thought I'd offer here first if any interest. Very good condition, purchased new by @Al Krow and original advert here: No gig bag so collection preferred from Orpington BR6 but happy to meet a reasonable distance. Can also post at buyers cost and risk. I’ve cleaned fretboard and put new D’Addario EXL170 strings on. Some minor indents and small scratch near bridge, small mark to headstock and some minor swirl marks from use but generally great condition (you’d have to be looking for them).

  7. Can’t remember I’m afraid, and no longer have the amp. Although I wouldn’t normally have a cable plugged in the amp with no bass attached.
  8. From some googling it seems to be a common complaint for the Markbass tweeters and that model in particular, if you bypass the tweeter it goes away. I sent it back in any case and don't get that with any other amp/cab I've had in the same room.
  9. Good point, was in a different house. I've tried it all over my house in different rooms and on different parts of my house wiring with the same results, it's possible there is an issue with my house ground but then I wonder why it's only these two basses that I have this issue with. An issue with the ground may explain the god awful whine I had on a CMD121P even with no bass plugged in. I'll take my amp to my friends place to try in the first instance.
  10. I have recently acquired two Fender basses: a Flea active and a Player Plus active Jazz. I'm playing them through either a Genzler Magellan 350 or Markbass 802 combo (both of which have tweeters). I'm getting a high pitched whine when plugged into my amps that goes away when you touch the strings/bridge etc. I don't get this with any of my other basses, active or not. I thought at first it may be my amp but I'm getting it with both amps. I'm therefore assuming this is poor shielding on the bass, the common denominator being Fender. I have tried them on a friends rig (TE Elf and 2x8 cab with no tweeter) and there is no whine at all which has me a little stumped. Could this be the tweeters on the cabs I have at home amplifying the whine? Also getting some crackling when turning knobs, again nothing at all on my friends rig. Any other thoughts before I look at re-shielding?
  11. Jamie sold me a combo in another hassle free transaction. Mint condition and everything as it should be. Top banana!
  12. And only £2,267.43! Would like to try one but unlikely at that price.
  13. Genzler Bass Array BA10-2 Compact Bass Cabinet. Includes official Genzler cover. Dent to one of lower corners and handle has a small cut/nick but is still solid. Otherwise excellent condition. Selling as have a matching cab with Magellan 350 head and two is overkill for my small practice room. Postage or collection/inspection Orpington BR6 welcome.
  14. Ha, thought that went "on hold" quick. 'tis a beauty!
  15. Yup, at buyer’s cost and risk. Have suitable box and packing materials.
  16. I've gone through a few basses recently trying out different things and my favourite is a Warwick Streamer LX German Pro Series. Lightweight, slim neck, PJ, comfortable, pretty and sounds mega. If forced to slim down the herd I would start with that as my keeper.
  17. Bought a bass from Jamie in an easy, hassle-free transaction. Timely comms and as described in mint condition. Would happily recommend and buy from again. Top banana!
  18. Flats now moved to my new one and rounds back on. Red silks both ends no idea what they are but now £400 and will chuck in a basic unbranded gig bag if needed. Have packaging materials to post.
  19. I think the last two photos (of the neck pocket) are the most realistic colour representations. With the caveat that I’m colour blind so really not the best person to answer that! I will try and take some better photos. I would go by what Google has to offer but it’s more like (taken from a previous Rich Tone sale, same model but not this exact bass):
  20. And here’s a pic of it wearing a mint green pickguard (not included) which I rather liked:
