  1. Taylor GS Mini-e acoustic bass. 23.5" scale. Excellent condition complete with gig bag and spare of strings. Some very, very minor marks which are too small to photograph but overall excellent condition. If you haven't played one, the string tension is very low which takes some getting used to. There's also only one set of strings you can use (well, recommended to use) to my knowledge which are specifically designed for this model. I have too many basses and this isn't being used. Don't think I have a box to fit the width of this so at the moment collection (Orpington) or meet-up within reasonable distance. Can also get it to my parents place in Bedfordshire. This looks like a ding, but isn't: This dude does a better job than I could of selling it:
  2. I have it. It’s available for anyone that wants to collect! Although I may be moving the Yamaha that came in it on so might see service again soon!
  3. That’s very handsome and I also like the idea of the satin board. Alas, no room (or money) in the stable but someone’s in for a bargain!
  4. Aye, I think the black really suits it. I also bought a mint guard but fancied the black more to start with. Here’s a quick and dirty mock up:
  5. I'm colour blind, what do I know!? Here's four pictures taken on my iPhone of my Tidepool all in the same room on the same day, it's quite a tricky colour to photograph and it changes depending on lighting. I'd say the closest to real life are the first two:
  6. 2021 Squier Classic Vibe '60s Jazz - daphne blue - 8.4lbs - Pure Vintage 64 pups Excellent cosmetic condition, no dings to body or neck. No neck pocket cracks. Lovely weight at 8.4lbs. Has Fender Pure Vintage 64 pickups fitted which are found on the Flea roadwork or American Original 60s (can't be purchased separately). Original pups included. No case/bag but can throw in a Thomann gig bag if needed. Bought this from @Folkesy mainly for the pickups but has been sat in the case and I have since acquired a Flea roadworn (same pups) so it's surplus to requirements. Original advert: Back of neck has had gloss taken off slightly. I have the action set with the E a smidge over 2mm at the 12th fret (fretted at 1st). There's a couple of high frets, the 10th fret A and E string buzz; if I was keeping hold of it I'd take it for some fret levelling/dressing (frets and nuts are beyond my home setup ability!). Looking for £320 collected from Orpington. Can post to mainland UK at buyers cost/risk. Can meet-up up to an hour away.
  7. Hudson Electronics Broadcast, mint condition. Purchased new March 23, hasn't left my house. Complete with box, pouch, instructions and sticker. £120 posted. https://hudsonelectronicsuk.com/product/broadcast/
  8. Having said I didn't have the case candy, I just checked and found the small MM leaflet, preamp instructions, case key, truss rod tool and bridge saddle allen key. No cloth bag I'm afraid, you'll have to make do with a Jiffy bag!
  9. Anyone have any idea what model BB is this?! https://www.instagram.com/reel/CtT3xDjAPPr/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== Edit: aha! New colours finally. I should learn to read. Edit 2: Well, old colour, but new for the P35!
  10. 2020 Stingray Special 4H - Tectonic Blue Immaculate condition. No dings or damage to body or neck. Weight between 9.4 and 9.6lbs on my digital bathroom scales so I'm saying ~4.3kg Purchased from the MusicMan extraordinaire @MM Stingray 62. I absolutely love this bass, it feels fantastic and sounds just like I want in my head. And whilst the colour is stunning, it just isn't really me. My plan is to pick up another in a different finish when one comes up, but for the time being I have some bills to pay and this is the sensible one to move on. The colour has the ability to be both bling and subtle at the same time depending on how it catches the light. It's quite hard to capture in a photograph but it has a deep lustre from the sparkles. Complete with original hard case but no case candy. If I'm being super anal, the only things to note is the battery box screws are a little rusty (I've put some WD40 on them) and the battery box lug was snapped so I've super glued it back on. There's a tiny, tiny scuff in the top coat on the back which you can't feel with a fingernail so should polish out (too small to photograph). Collection/inspection welcome from Orpington BR6. I'm also happy to drive up to an hour away for a dodgy car park meet-up. I'm also happy to post at buyers risk and cost to UK. I'm also happy for you to collect from my folks' place in Meppershall, Beds but they know nothing about bass and it would therefore be payment prior to collection. Payment via bank transfer or PayPal. After £1750 which is what it cost me to get. Let me know if any questions!
  11. Sold a Lakland jazz bass to Phil, what a lovely chap! He came over when agreed, we had a good natter about bass and left with a new Lakland. Genuine bass-phile and could have spent all day chatting. Deal with in confidence; top banana! @phil147
  12. Bought a jazz bass off Harry. Efficient and pain-free transaction, bass is lovely as described; top banana!
  13. Great idea! I’ll hopefully have this by mid next week (Orpington) and won’t have any further need for it. Can also get it to my folks place in Meppershall, Beds if that’s any good for anyone.
  14. I’m fairly confident your stable is bigger than mine, I’m nearly down to a single rack with none hiding anywhere! Aye, the Valenti is special. This is lovely too but I want a blue/white one! Gushing praise indeed, the cheque’s in the post!
  15. Looks to be a lovely bass but need a straight sale on this I’m afraid as need to reduce numbers.
  16. 1997 Atelier Z DAL-5 Jazz Bass - refin Pearl Blue Stonking super jazz but I'm trying very hard to get down to sensible numbers! This was advertised on here although I picked it up from Bass Direct: https://bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Atelier_Z_Jazz_5.html?fbclid=IwAR0XpDHMMB_I4kisOc3kLbgn5cgjk2ZuXOVKMQneVaY1pO5f1-4VEl4G6gk Was originally black, body re-finished by David Wilson in Hexam, commissioned when @bubinga5 owned it. "One of the early golden era AZ basses made by Mas Hino who made the early Sadowsky Metro series basses when he left Atelier. The neck is all original with original Gotoh tuners" 9.4lbs on my bathroom scales Generally excellent condition. There's a couple of very, very minor marks but no dings or missing finish. If I'm being super anal, the paint has sunk ever so slightly where the original pickguard holes have been filled but almost impossible to photograph and very, very minor. I've included a little video to try and show below. There's a very minor neck pocket finish hairline crack on one side. Again, can't really see but mentioning for transparency. Some minor oxidisation of hardware. Maple Neck and Fingerboard Chambered Alder body with Ash top Neck: 34", Maple, 21 Frets Tuners: Gotoh GB-30 Bridge: Gotoh 205B-5/18P Pickups: Atelier Z JBZ-5 Preamp: Nordstrand 2B-4B (2 Band Preamps - Nordstrand Audio) (Original Atelier Z EQ/M included in the sale) Controls: Vol, Pickup Blend, Bass Boost/Cut, Treble Boost/Cut Weight 4.3 kg Nut Width: 47mm String Spacing at the Bridge: 18mm Hardcase - need to dig this out from my case cupboard, from memory it has no damage but will check! Advertising it for what I got it for, which I believe is a very reasonable £999. Can post at buyer's cost/risk to mainland UK or collection/inspection welcome in Orpington BR6. Happy to drive up to an hour to meet. No trades please. IMG_2409.mov
  17. Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones DJ4 - black sparkle (has a subtle fleck/sparkle). I love a jazz, just have too many! Excellent condition, some very minor marks including some buckle rash on back but no dings or missing finish. Drop D tuner, don't have original I'm afraid. Tiny, tiny indentation on the back of the neck by the 7th fret. I can't photograph it's so minor but you can just feel it as you play. Nice weight at 8.8lbs on the bathroom scales. Comes with Gator hard case. Can post at buyer's cost/risk to mainland UK. Collection/inspection welcome in Orpington BR6. Number of Strings:4 Left-/Right-handed:Right-handed Body Shape:Skyline Darryl Jones Body Finish:Gloss Polyurethane Neck Material:Maple Neck Shape:DJ Neck Joint:Bolt-on Radius:10" Fingerboard Material:Rosewood Fingerboard Inlay:Blocks Number of Frets:21 Scale Length:34" Nut Width:1.5" Nut Material:Delrin Bridge/Tailpiece:Lakland Dual Access Bridge Tuners:Hipshot Ultra-Lite Neck Pickup:Lakland Vintage J Single-coil Bridge Pickup:Lakland Vintage J Single-coil Controls:2 x volume, 1 x master tone
  18. Ha, you are the worst enabler! I’d like it but wrong time funds wise (sun is out - motorbike stuff to pay for!). GLWTS
  19. Reduced to £149, need to reclaim some space!
  20. Vintage VJ74 ReIssued jazz bass. Candy Apple Red, Wilkinson hardware all round. Excellent condition, no dings or dongs. Plastic film still on pickguard. Weight 9.4lbs. Picked this up second hand off eBay as a mod platform and was very impressed for the price. Typically something lightweight came up right after and I don't need two "budget" jazzes. I've cleaned, oiled board, new strings and basic setup. To me, the G string looks too far away from the edge of the fretboard but it's sat in the bridge saddle correctly and nut looks good. Can't feel anything untoward when playing. Also, the E string is a little louder than the rest, not sure if this is the strings, pickups or my crap setup. Anyway, looking for £175 which is what I got it for plus the cost of the strings. No case or gigbag but have ample packing materials to post (mainland UK only). Welcome to come have a look/play in Orpington. Will get some better photos up but for now: Specs here: https://vintageguitarsrus.com/collections/vj74-75-reissued-bass/products/vintage-vj74-reissued-bass-guitar-candy-apple-red
