  1. £380 collected with no case. £400 posted with tatty/basic hardcase. Also on the bay of fleas with more payment options but higher price to cover fees.
  2. Those block inlays are rather splendid!
  3. 2008 Squier Classic Vibe 60’s Jazz - Olympic white. Crafted in China with lovely rosewood fretboard. Excellent condition. A small patch of discolouration on bottom edge near strap button. Some minor oxidation of hardware. Minor marks to truss rod entrance hole. Currently strung with dead rounds and wearing Northwest guitars pickguard. Original pickguard (with playing marks) and thumb rest included. No case. Can post for £30 and I’ll chuck in a generic/tatty hard case for protection. 4. 2011 Squier Classic Vibe 60’s Precision - Olympic white. Excellent condition, no dings or damage. Only thing to note is some very minor marks to truss rod entry hole. These crafted in China models are fabulous. The Rosewood is very light in colour compared to my last one. Currently wearing 3 ply mint green pickguard from Nortwest Guitars and comes with original black pickguard (which has playing marks) and thumb rest. Strung with Thomastik-Infield Jazz flats JF344. Specs: Body: Basswood Neck: Maple, Modern "C" Shape, (Gloss Polyester Finish) Fingerboard: Rosewood, 9.5" Radius (241 mm) No. of Frets: 20 Vintage Style Frets Pickups: 1 Custom Precision Bass Split Single-Coil Pickup with AlNiCo 5 Magnets Controls: Volume, Tone Bridge: 4-Saddle HiMass Bridge Machine Heads: Open Gear Tuning Machines Hardware : Chrome Scale Length: 34" (864 mm) Width at Nut: 1.65" (42 mm) Unique Features: -Vintage Styling, -Tinted Neck, -Knurled Chrome Dome Control Knobs, -Gold Squier Logo, -Thumbrest, -Synthetic Bone Nut Looking for £400 collected from Orpington BR6. Can meet up to an hour away. Happy to post for £30 and will chuck in a generic hard case. No trades, thanks. Some more photos/video not with the greatest light, the black pickguard ones are when I first got it. I have oiled the rosewood which has made it slightly darker but it's still light: https://photos.app.goo.gl/dF5b7MT7fSucPFuZ7
  5. Much prefer the smaller oval pickguard on these 5’ers. I don’t suppose you still have the original tort pickguard?
  6. https://bassbros.co.uk/product/2021-esp-ltd-surveyor-87/ @AndyTravis Get the spandex out!
  7. I try to refrain from posting comments of admiration on for sale threads as I'd be typing a lot, but hot dang that is stunning! I bet the finish looks incredible in the flesh. I'm afraid wrong time for me financially so GLWTS!
  8. Thanks for the update, I'm tempted to try one of these. What's your other fiver out of interest?
  9. 2021 EBMM Stingray Special 5H in Smoked Chrome. Immaculate condition including original hard case and case. I would love to keep on looks alone but can't justify such an expensive fiver when I can barely play fours! Only things of note are playing marks to pickguard, two tiny grazes to headstock, and a pinhead impression to rear of headstock (all very minor). These do suffer from the G string slipping off, I believe due to the proximity of the string to the edge of the fretboard and the lovely tapered fret edges. I found it needed some adjustment to technique but if you haven't played one, worth mentioning. £1800, no trades thanks. Would much prefer collection in Orpington BR6 or I'm happy to drive up to an hour away to meet. I can also get it to family in Meppershall, Beds, but no amp to try there. If no local interest will consider postage.
  10. Swapped an EBMM Sterling with an ACG Recurve. Ian kindly made the journey to my place; a lovely chap with encyclopaedic bass knowledge. I learnt a few things and am looking forward to playing with tones on the ACG. Top banana!
  11. 1994 Ernie Ball Sterling USA 4H. £1200 collected or near meet Orpington BR6. Generally fantastic condition for age. Beautiful sunburst and Birds Eye maple figuring. A few things to note: At least two of the tuners look ever so slightly bent (the bit you hold to turn). There’s a patch of finish damage under the pickguard near the neck which looks like it’s been glued back. Was like it when I got it so not sure how it’s been done. Small scratch on pickguard which goes to body. Fairly light and looks to be in top coat only. Some very minor marks to body consistent with normal use. Comes with an old and tatty but functional hard case. UK Postage considered if no “local” interest. Weight to follow. Any questions or if more pics are needed, fire away. No trades or offers at the moment, thanks!
  12. I'm fairly sure you have a similar affliction (too many basses)!
  13. Glen bought a bass from me in a pleasant, hassle-free transaction. Prompt comms, prompt payment, met at a service station to handover and had a natter about basses. Top banana, enjoy!
  14. I sent it back. Fit and finish was generally good but some really uneven frets that would have required fret levelling and that's past my ability. Fair play to Peach, once I'd sent them a video of the buzz despite raising the action (relief was fine) they took it back and paid for the postage. I've now found a matching colour (to my P) Chinese CV jazz from 2008 which is fantastic (big fan of these).
  15. Gretsch G2220 Junior Jet II shell pink. Strung with LaBella Deep Talkin' flats. Excellent condition, no dings or dongs. Only things to note are the jack isn't the tightest and there's a small hairline finish "crack" near the neck pocket (last photo, it really is very minor). Cellophane on truss rod cover and partially on rear cavity guard. Some small bits of cellophane under pickup screws that I should have got off before photographing! Have original packaging so looking for £250 posted or can collect from Orpington BR6. Can potentially meet up to 45 minutes away from Orpington or get to family near Shefford in Bedfordshire if that's of interest to anyone to collect. Bought during a Royal Blood obsession but simply have too many basses (so my wife keeps telling me). Let me know if any questions, any inspection welcome. For clarity these were/are advertised as having humbuckers but our lobster claw wearing friend across the pond discovered they are actually single coils. Plenty of YouTube videos on these, they sound big! Specs here: https://gretschguitars.com/gear/build/bass/g2220-electromatic-junior-jet-bass-ii-short-scale/2514730580
  16. Someone save me and buy it!
  17. Lovely Stingray Special Aqua Sparkle 4H just listed (no affiliation). Very tempting.
  18. Bought some strings off Clarky, got back to me promptly and super swift postage. Many thanks, top banana!
  19. I was lusting over this, but on the fence. Only because I was after a white one with rosewood board and my repeated experience with GAS is as soon you buy something, the thing you were really after becomes available. Your comment pushed me over the edge, damn enablers! This will be my second purchase from Will, and he's sold three for me, all remotely and all of which have been positive experiences.
  20. @BassAdder27 Looking good! Did the Fender HiMass bridge drop straight in to the existing holes? I've read the earlier (crafted in China) CV's had a different, non-Fender screw spacing, but the later ones are the standard Fender spacing? Struggling to find a schematic with measurements of hole spacing.
  21. I've ordered one. Should make a great platform to do some mods and if there's any QC issues I can send it back. I've got an earlier Chinese CV 60's P which is a keeper so I'm hoping these haven't strayed too far from that formula. Will be interesting to see how light the Indian laurel fretboard is in person, I'm not a massive fan of the looks of pau ferro. Some lovely tones:
