  1. It’s a nice bass...interested?
  2. I would post, and will try to get you pics in the next couple of days.
  3. I find on passive basses (P or J), I run wide open. On any active bass I have owned, about halfway is a good place to start...the MPV sounds really happy at this setting, and not so much wide open.
  4. If you wanted to go old-school..how about an acoustic rig with that 4x15 cab...or 2?
  5. I use Elixer nanoweb Nickles 45-105, with a 125 B....
  6. Totally depends on style and personal preference. I'm not a tapper or a slapper, so have sometimes opted for foam under the strings at the bridge to emulate an upright sound... I seem to remember that the old Electra Outlaw bass I owned (wish I still had it) that, along with plug-in sound modules, had adjustable mutes on the bridge.
  7. Depends on the gig...for jazz I'd go with my Hartke 12" kickback, DI'd , otherwise, an old Fender Bassman mic'ed...don't tell me modelling works..I know what they sound like. Also, real monitor..not in-ear...grumpy old man yelling at cloud
  8. Extra brown, but no blue....
  9. I have no issue with the quality or sound, and I’ve been playing for almost 50 years. I just can’t get used to the neck shape, plus, I know it will not get the use the Pedulla will.
  10. One website says 8lbs 14 oz... feels to me about like a good P bass
  11. Can’t get any bites though...
  12. Would also consider a swap for the right fretless... It's a nice bass....really!
  13. Bought this and like the sound, just can’t do the chunky neck.
  14. How about this one?
  15. I have a decent L2000 trilby for sale....
  16. I would also welcome reasonable offers on this bass...but I do feel I am in the right ball park.
  17. Nice trilby...just don’t like the neck. A few small dings that do not effect playability. Comes with a hard case.
  18. I put the Tribby on the shelf and picked up a Yamaha 614...the neck is better for me and I like the pickup pan option. I intend to make the Mpv my go to bass, but can still fumble a bit with the extra string. Hoping to find old folks in Cambridgeshire to start playing with.
  19. Does anyone know a tech who would now thier way around the Bartolini setup on my 1995 MPV-5? Some previous owner rewired it, and not in a good way... Thanks!
  20. Hello, I am 63, American, but have lived in the UK for 20 years. I have played my entire life, but only a bit of it as a full-time pro. I teach music at a school, and don't currently gig, but might when I retire. Gear includes: 1995 Pedulla MPV-5 New-ish G&L L2000 Tribute (currently for sale) Hartke Kickback amp I have to admit that I am a bit of a boutique bass snob....I have owned old Fenders, and loved them as well..... David
