I dont understand whats so great about 5'ers. someone enlighten me? a deeper string and less need for movement up and down the neck? is that all? thanks

push yourself, its the only way forward. join a band, not every band is young.

Just as you can use a pedal to emulate the bass, you can use a pedal/rackmounted effect to emulate the guitar.

paste old yellowing manuscript paper over it, then lacquer it. Personally I'd leave it natural though, wax it. then it ages and looks messed up and nice

played for a bit, bass was always nagging in the back of my head though, couldnt keep it away for long .

Hi as i am looking to develop my musical ear I am looking for short clear bass passages/riffs/licks etc to figure out. now what i was wandering was is there a resource like this somewhere on the internet? or would one of you kind souls be nice enough to record some simple passages. im talking real simple, i need to develop my ear and listening to songs i simply am lost so am looking for the simplest parts possible. thanks for any help
