1.
I thought this was long gone
…and now sold. Thanks for all the interest and offers.
2.
Trades?
I'm after a sale really…but I will listen to offers.
3. Thanks for all the bumps and nice compliments. It is such a beautiful instrument to look at, play and hear.

5. It is still available. You're welcome to come and try it. I can try and record a bit and post a sound cloud link, but not likely to be able to until after the weekend. …….soundwise it's the bright side of P bass - as you'd expect from an ash body and maple neck. More Steve Harris than Jamerson. But still classic P and cuts through well in a band context.
6. Thanks for all the compliments. You're making me think twice!
7. I've reluctantly decided to sell My Fender Japan 70s issue Precision. The model number is PB70-US/ASH. It's the non-export ash bodied version with maple neck and US vintage pickup. Here's a link to the model on the fender Japan site: http://www.fenderjap...pb70-usash.html Although it's an ash body it's a very lightweight bass. It is in near mint condition. There is not a single blemish on the neck or body. Only light fingernail scuffs on the pick guard give it away as not being in showroom condition. If you look closely at the pictures you will notice that it is utterly gorgeous This was bought brand new from Mikkigakki, Tokyo and brought over for me by a friend so I am it's first and original owner. I still have the hangtag and warranty card (in Japanese) and it comes with the standard Fender Japan gig bag. Collection from Upper Norwood/Crystal Palace, South London preferred. Courier is possible. Price is £650. Please PM with any questions. 8. Chris bought my Avalon U5 after I responded to his wanted ad. Chris is a credit to Basschat and a great guy to deal with. Buy from/sell to with confidence!

10. That's a £699 option! One expensive pair of jeans
11. Cool wash? Tumble dry? Or dry-clean only? Seriously, I saw this earlier and thought within a year of grubby hands all over it it would look disgusting. I wonder what finish it is underneath?
12. Gosh it's been a while. I've still got this. I half decided to keep it - but still haven't got round to using it. So it's up for sale again. Price drop bump! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSBki1523rM
13. This one took a whole hour and 16 minutes to sell. Demand must be waning.
14. Do you have another preamp or a mixing desk you can check the Rode out with? Focusrite pres are usually pretty robust - at whatever price point. It's always good practice to switch off phantom power before disconnecting any capacitor mic like the Rode. It could damage the mic otherwise.
15. Having said that - it may be cheaper to replace the microphone . You can get them secondhand for less than £100. Worth checking your phantom power on your preamp. Obvious I know but worth a look. The SM58 is a dynamic mic so won't need phantom powering.
16. Hi Bilbo, Give a call to the Rode distributor in the UK. http://www.sourcedistribution.co.uk …I'm sure they could sort this out. Alternatively if you want to repair and pimp your Rode have a think about Micael Joly's excellent mic mods. He's in the US but if you fill out your customs forms correctly you shouldn't be paying any taxes. I had a pair of Oktava mics modded by him last year and I'm very happy with them. http://www.oktavamodshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=145&osCsid=b2b99llag7qtivn4lr39rhnpe3
17. Check out the Studiospares Trojan ABS cases. They're ridiculously deep!
18. I bought one of these recently. (That video sold it to me!). It's an amazing instrument. A keeper. I just want to play it forever. Whoever buys this won't be disappointed.
19. I bought Dean's Darkglass Vintage pedal. Good price and pedal as described. But as he lived relatively close by he dropped over and delivered it to me! Fantastic! He's a lovely bloke. Great to have a cup of tea and talk about bass!
20. I'll have it. Pea-Emmmed!
21. Bump for one of the best BCers on this forum. Buy with confidence. He's a top bloke, a man of his word…and he has some lovely basses I recently bought his Antigua Jazz. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

23.
Some weeks ago a Sadowsky UV70 appeared in the For Sale section. It was just what I was looking however the seller, jack_b was in Poland, which meant there was no way I could go and look before buying. I contacted Jack and he answered all my questions about the bass. We agreed the price and then to my surprise Jack offered, as I was a long established Forum member, to ship it to me saying I could pay him after it had arrived. Everything went according to plan. The UV70 is exactly as described and it arrived promptly with no damage. I certainly have no reservations about dealing with Jack again.
This! Jack B did the same for me too! I was seriously interested in his Fender Jazz Antigua. After a few emails, exchange of pics and agreeing on a price I asked him if he had any sound clips as I couldn't try the bass for myself (it was in Poland). He offered to send the bass for me to try and pay after I was happy. Jack is a trusting BCer and a great person to deal with. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again. He truly is one of the gems of this forum. Derrick
