1.
I'm sure I've seen something a bit more comprehensive somewhere, but this might help a little for now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vigier_Guitars#History
Thanks!
2. I'm quite interested in getting a Vigier and sorry if this question is not relevant to the thread: Apart from pickup configuration, what are the differences between the Passion and Arpege? Any resources where I can find out more about Vigier basses and their evolution from the past two and a half decades? Thanks.
3. I'm the bass player for Studio 54, who are an 8 piece disco function band that have been together for around 5 months. We are currently in the process of getting on our feet - we have about 2 hours of repertoire down and are in the throes of getting website, demo and band pictures together. We have our first gigs next month and what i believe is a promising future ahead of us. The band are a great bunch of people and very good musicians whom I've found a lot of fun and very rewarding to play with. Our current keys player is leaving us due to increasing commitments elsewhere in his life and we are on the hunt for a versatile musician with good ears who can cover the usual piano, organ, string, horn and synth lines as well as being able to improvise and fill the gaps in an arrangement. They would need to be happy learning songs off CDs, be available for rehearsals on Sunday afternoons and be able to groove. We rehearse in a cost free space in Sevenoaks, Kent and we are based around South London and the southern edge of the M25. Our repertoire includes songs from Chic, Diana Ross, Donna Summer, Kool and the Gang, Sister Sledge, Teena Marie, Rose Royce and others. If you know anyone with a passion for this kind of music and would be interested in this gig please get them to PM me or call on 07973 735 913. Cheers, Derrick

9. Price drop for SFX Micro Fuzz .....and bump!
10. Chunk on hold. Bump for Micro fuzz:
11. I've played it briefly and it's very nice indeed. Not quite Stingray in feel or tone - but that's not a criticism. It is it's own thing - a custom built instrument with Stingray as a starting point. Jonathan is an absolute top guy too.
12.
nice bumps!.... what's the SFX micro fuzz like?... is it modeled on a Tonebender?
Cheers! I'm afraid I can't comment as I don't know the Tonebender. There are some sound samples on the SFX website: http://www.sfxsound.co.uk/mainpage.asp?page=micro_fuzz They are built by Silent Fly who is a member here. It's beautifully made and is hugely fuzzy. My Micro fuzz doesn't have the mid frequency switch that you see on the current models. You're welcome to come over and try it if you're near Crystal Palace, South London.
13. BMS and Auto Q now sold. Bump for Chunk.....
14. No idea if this has been posted already, but this thread could do with a bump anyway....
15. The bridges around 1994-95 had bolts in place of the string mute/spring/thumbscrew assembly. They can be retro-fitted and now with the Classic series they are available again. I bought my mutes/springs from Mark at Bass Direct. The bridge needs to come off to fit them. They cost me all of £25 delivered
