1. Hi All, Sorry to start a new thread for this but I'm only just aware of the possibilities of this pedal and I couldn't find a direct answer in the search engine. What's the difference between the new and older versions of the BMS? How many versions are there? Which ones should I avoid? True Bypass is very important to me and I've read stories about the degradation of the signal when the BMS is in the signal chain but not on. Is this really the case? Your advice and opinions gratefully received! Cheers, Derrick
2. I paid well over going rate for mine. Am I gutted about it - no. Because it's just an unbelievably good bass. If I lost a bit of gut though it would sit more comfortably on me As a Steinberger fan I think this bass is a bargain at the price. I wish I could justify having two.

Sold.

I have been able to get new mutes/springs/thumbscrews for my 1995 EBMM from Mark at Bass Direct. Cost me £25 or thereabouts. If the design hasn't changed the new parts for the Stingray Classic will do the job.
4. I can vouch for basslondon - top bloke. I can also vouch for this bass - it used to be mine! Tremendous build quality and feel suggests a bass at double the price tag. Buy it! Do it now! EDIT: here's a link to my original sales thread which has a lot more pictures: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...hl=tribute+2500

10. Up for sale is my Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0. It's in very good physical condition, perfect working order and comes with a Genz Benz Shuttle padded gig bag. Only used for a couple of gigs, a handful of rehearsals and home practice. It's a powerful amp with a valve preamp stage. 600W into 4 ohms, 375W into 8 ohms. Fantastically light and portable. Full tech specs here: http://www.genzbenz.com/?fa=detail&mid...=610&cid=95 Price: SOLD The amp is at my home in Upper Norwood, South London. Potential buyers welcome to come over and try it out.
11.
I've just replaced my ER15s with the new HF17s. These sit deeper in your ear and cut out even more than the ERs. Hearing balance still good frequency wise. Also their occlusion properties are better so you're not hearing your own breathing so loudly. These are going to be a better choice if you sing as well. They are cheaper too at £139. I'll be trying them out tonight with my tenor saxophone in a very loud band - so I'll report back again later.....
Got back from rehearsal and I have to say that I'm preferring the ACS HF17s over the ER15s. Much more comfortable to play in (blasting my guts out on a saxophone). They are much more effective at noise exclusion than the ER15s and ER25s (yes I have them both!), and relieve most of the back pressure in my ear when blowing hard. I don't think the ERs will get much use from now on. Just my experience mind. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the ERs normally, but the HFs do work much better so definitely look into them.
12. You've got some serious hi-fi going on there! That must be a listening experience. Nice bass too. Have a bump.

14.
Classic + RH450 - Same 'sound', upgrades if you want them on the RH450. Staccato - Different sound out of the box. MASSIVE low end! Still sounds like the same amp, but with different EQ points and a few other tweaks.
Cheers!
15. If I can pose another question to the thread: What's the difference between the Classic 450, Rebel Head450, and Staccato 51? Aside from memory presets and built in tuner etc of the latter two, are they the same amp underneath? Or are the all voiced differently? I'm really more interested in the sound the three amps produce than the extra features. On paper they all look the same.
16.
All is well with the world when something called the Malekko Barker Assmaster Germanium exists. Tech 21's a dream mate, many thanks C
Cheers Chris! You ought to but this. It's work a dream with your EUB on a jazz gig
17. I'm moving on my Barker Assmaster pedal from Malekko Heavy Industries. It's the Germanium edition with germanium components that are meant to give it a smoother, more vintage distortion over the standard silicon version. Note the blue led - the silicon version has a pink led. The Assmaster is in very good condition with only a number of light surface scuffs on the underside. I have the original box too. For specs check out: http://malekkoheavyindustry.com/index.php/b-assmaster-g For Ed Friedland's terrific review check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6kjd6GyvLc If you can find one of these new it would cost the best part of £230. Price for mine - £SOLD posted.
