  1. Agreed. I was mildly obsessed by that bass for ages before taking the plunge. It’s the flip-flop finish so it’s a bit mad. Here are some photos from when I got it:
  2. The Subsonic is absolutely lovely. It's extremely simple to use, sounds great and tracks well. I think the plan is to make more and I hope he does; it deserves to get a wide release and a great reception. Thanks for the kind comment! Agreed on the Roackboards; they're superb. There's even space underneath to velcro strap-tie the power cable on for easy transport. I've been selling a lot of my pedals, including some Broughton ones, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the ones I was opting to keep fitted so well on a board I already had laying about.
  3. Thanks! Yeah, it's the 2021 Ltd Teambuilt Streamer LX with a black korina body and Pau ferro fretboard. It was my number one bass for an age and sounds fantastic. The low B is superb and I love the Bartolini soapbar pickups.
  4. Perhaps not the best picture of my Warwicks but I got the glue gun out to add cutaway pads to my Hiscox cases and took a quick photo of the results:
  5. Thanks! If we could just pretend I didn’t obsessively keep altering the positions for 45 minutes that would be great.
  6. A lot of you know I’ve gone a bit mad with boutique pedals. As I head toward married life I’ve been rejigging how I approach them and, as a result, I’m selling a lot of them, making boards with others, and collecting a few like a gear-hoarding magpie. Since I moved at the start of the year, all but five or six pedals (and my minis board - currently partially deconstructed) have been in boxes waiting for a board. As part of the overall rejigging I’ve realised that nothing is so sacred I have to leave it in its box. As a result, I’ve finally built a Broughton board (and one Southampton pedal that Josh Broughton worked on). I plan on putting other boards together over the next few months but this is currently my only fully-wired up board. Signal chain is right to left bottom row, then right to left top row. Knobs do not reflect settings; I’m just clumsy when I wire up.
  7. Amazing stuff as always! Good luck with the sales.
  8. I've just checked my original order and yes it does have the bass boost mod.
  9. *PRICE DROP TO £235 POSTED* I'm selling my hand-wired custom finish Slampegg Bee Pre. It's a really Lovely 12AX7 tube preamp based on the B-15N that gives any set-up tube warmth, presence and sheen. Being the hand-wired version, it can run at about 350v instead of the usual 240v for SMD pedals, with the result being a warmer, fuller sound (as per the SushiBox FAQs). This particular version is from the last custom batch before Sushi Box narrowed the range of options to keep production simple and scale things up. I opted to have it hand-wired and finished in the rainbow's end sparkle finish. It had the misfortune to arrive at more or less the same time as my Noble DI so it's hardly been used. The price is £260 £235 and I'll cover UK Special Delivery postage. It cost me just shy of £310 all in when I ordered it in March 2022 and it's in basically as new condition, so it should be a good deal for someone.
  10. Ants In My Eyes Johnson Mammoth Fuzz - £70 £60- Good Mammoth fuzz. All the buttons are Ants: that was enough to attract me. That and the Rick & Morty reference UK Special Delivery Postage included. Mr Sparkle 808 - £80 SOLD an 808 Tubecreamer with the best that the Matsumura Fishworks and Tamaribuchi Heavy Manufacturing Concern has to offer Limited Edition Fry 808 - £80 SOLD an 808 Tubescreamer with Slurm cans for knobs; one of my favourites Cornholio Noise Ensemble Fuzz - £75 SOLD Fuzz interacting with a delay chip and feedback loop; I really like this one; it's in the same realm as the Dirge Slowly Melting
  11. SOLD I'm putting my Crowther Prunes & Custard on the block. It's an absolute classic (and also the pedal behind The Datsuns' Harmonic Generator Intermodulator). I won't go into what sounds you can get out of it but prunes and custard isn't far off. I've owned it from new (October 2022) and it's in basically as new condition. The price is £165 and I'll cover UK Special Delivery postage.
  12. *SOLD* I picked up an SGT-DI from a trade here about six weeks ago. I really like it, particularly because it has a headphone-out and runs at 9V so has features the Bassrig SV and Shiftline Olympic (two of my favourites) don’t, but I’m mainly using its IRs/cab sims to test fuzzes in a more realistic environment. I can do that with my Darkglass Element and I’m meant to be saving for a wedding so I’m moving it on. It's in brilliant condition and comes boxed with all of the bits (including a UK power adapter). The price is £300 and I'll cover UK Special Delivery postage.
  13. The SLO is a brilliant pedal and that’s an amazing deal because they’re still tricky to get hold of. Good luck with all of the sales!
  14. I second this. A company called Shiftline make the Olympic, which I really rate too. It’s pricey but it does more than any other Tube pedal I’ve tried.
  15. Thanks very much! I missed the Fliptop immediately and ended up trading for another. It’s about as good a B-15 preamp as I’ve played. As part of the slim down though I’m going to be using a preamp DI and, as much as I love these pedals, I can’t really justify them sitting there. I’ll likely relist my Sushibox Slampegg X Pre too (wedding sale 983) for the same reason. Just on a word on Broughton pedals: to me, they are really well thought-out and engineered boutique pedals that don’t cost as much as some of their peers. I’m still keeping some on my board and I think they’re class leading. Good luck with the piano too!
  16. Thanks! Josh Broughton, Taylor Livingston (Iron Ether) and Spencer Doren (3 Leaf) are some of my favourite builders and their pedals are just fantastic. It's taken me three or four years to assemble them. Some of the Broughton drops were especially fraught, like that for the Azure Drive and Para EQ, and trying to track down an Enabler was tricky. I like the Enabler so much I've just had a 3 Leaf on-baord preamp fitted to one of my basses.
  17. All pedals are in great shape and full-working order. I'll cover UK postage by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Regarding trades, this is meant to be a wedding sale but I'm always on the lookout for a Cog T-70 (in the v2/non-webbed finish), Rogue One (not R-1) and Star Wars customs (plus cash on my end) Smallsound/Bigsound Mini (top-jacks) - £300 (pedal only) SOLD Broughton Para EQ - £230 SOLD Broughton Fliptop (B15-style preamp) - £180 SOLD Broughton Filter FX Loop - £190 SOLD Iron Ether FMeron - £350 SOLD 3 Leaf Enabler preamp DI / headphone preamp - £415 £400 (pedal only). Absolutely amazing fidelity, well-chosen EQ points and volume for days; a Reverb US import special in March 2022 SOLD Broughton Low & High Pass Filter - £150 (couldn't find the original box so using an alternative); owned from new November 2021 SOLD Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxe - £385 £350 - an exceptional envelope filter; owned from new and ordered in the April 2022 release SOLD Broughton Proto DI (passive DI) - £165 SOLD Broughton Azure Drive - £160 - lovely OD based on the BJFE BlueBerry Bass Overdrive; owned from new August 2022; I'm using a Scorpion and Sentinel on my Broughton board as I'm more into high gain, otherwise I wouldn't be looking to sell the AD SOLD Broughton Synth Voice Deluxe - £225 - super synthy octave pedal in a lovely sparkle finish; I don’t have the box for this but will pack it carefully SOLD Broughton SV-Pre (SVT-style preamp) - £150 WITHDRAWN FOR BOARD USE Broughton Silver Deluxe (Fender-style preamp) - £180 WITHDRAWN FOR BOARD USE Iron Ether FrantaBit - £385 £370 - great bit-crusher; owned from new and ordered in the June 2022 release - WITHDRAWN FOR BOARD USE
  18. These are excellent. Tim Commerford used one in his video to promote the Tim Commerford signature Stingrays. Good luck with the sale!
  19. Agreed. I've had a wanted ad out for a T-65 for about a year but, to be fair, @Stofferson has had a wanted ad out for two years 😂, so fair play! I hope you got it @Stofferson! I'm still love to try this version and a T-70.
  20. Amazing price! These were £369 new in the UK. Good luck with the sale!
  21. The Spite Box is great fun - it's by the guy behind Damnation Audio and the MBD-2, one of my favourite ever drive pedals, and the guy behind Baltimore Sonic Research Institute. It's super, super angry. Which is nice. I've got a few fuzzes that will be finding their way onto these pages and that was just the closest to hand - it's no reflection on how good it is; I've just been snared by a Life Pedal and a Heliotropic for my mega heavy fuzz needs. You may recognise the gentleman doing this demo (another cracker from @0175westwood29https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlNnNV8Ib0o
  22. Thanks @Quatschmacher Hopefully my edits make it easier to see what's what It's funny, I bought the Orbit because somebody on Basschat had it and really liked it. I thought it was you but, thinking about. it, it may have been @lee650. It's well done and flexible. I've gone a slightly different way with my fuzz and synth needs otherwise I probably wouldn't sell it as it was a bit tricky to get hold of.
  23. Blackstone Mofset Overdrive (pedal only) - £180 SOLD MXR M300 Reverb - £145 SOLD Copilot Orbit - £105 SOLD Tech 21 YYZ Shape-shifter - £185 SOLD Panda Audio Future Impact v3 - £200 SOLD Crazy Tube Circuits Locomotive Bass Overdrive - £175 SOLD RambleFX Twin Bender v3 - £240 SOLD Salt Box Workshop Spite Box - £155 SOLD Providence Anadime Bass Chorus - £105 SOLD
  24. My usual set-up is four pedals: Broughton BBA, Peterson Strobostomp, Cali76-TX and a Noble DI, so I guess that! It's lovely for a clean tone but, if we're talking about slightly more exciting effects, I'd probably have a JAM Delay Llama Xtreme, an EQD Life Pedal v.3 for massive grit, a Southampton Utility Knife for modulation and a Chromatron or Barbanera as a filter. If I could only have one non-multi-effects pedal, it would probably be the Darkglass Element or ADAM. Whether I could bluetooth-in audio on a desert island is a different question though.
