  1. Yeah, super tempting, this! If I wasn’t having a bit of a slim down I’d be all over this. Good luck with the sale!
  2. @bassybill?
  3. I'm due to get married in 2024 so I'm starting the pedal purge now to pay for wedding costs. All pedals are in great condition. Tech 21 YYZ Shape-shifter - £195 £185 - the update to the YYZ to add the features from the limited edition MP40. Solid like all Tech 21 preamps and really nice Geddy Lee tones. Comes boxed and with a suggested settings guide for certain Moving Pictures tracks and to mimc a Ric. Please keep an eye on my other sales and feel free to contact me with any questions.
  4. I’ve just measured another Cog pedal, not the T-47, although they should be more or less a standard size. H 118mm, W 94mm, D 33mm I think there was talk of a smaller unit with top jacks potentially seeing the light of day.
  5. Alex just bought a pedal off me. Communication was great, payment was prompt and the whole experience was good. Recommended.
  6. I just sold a pedal to Jim, having previously bought a pedal from him. As before, everything was great. Communication was swift and enjoyable, and payment was prompt. Really highly rated.
  7. I just sold a pedal to Ryan. Everything was simple, communication was good and payment was prompt. Would happily deal with again.
  8. I sold three pedals to Patrick and the transaction was simple. Communication was great and payment was prompt. I'd be very happy to deal with Patrick again.
  9. Thanks! It's an excellent compressor - the metering is the best of any compressor I've used (along with the Empress), and it's also good as a limiter. I originally bought this for its transparency and the available level of control in a small form factor. Ovnilab, the best site for compressor reviews in my opinion, gave it a great write-up: http://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/mxrbass.shtml
  10. Thanks! I share your Pladask sentiments too. Knut makes some truly excellent and sometimes out-there pedals. They're a bit tricky to get hold of and cost a fortune to import (not just for the import VAT but the courier choice - at least they arrive quickly though!). The Draume is the hardest one to part with because I love reverbs and that one can conjure up some very beautiful soundscapes. The Fabrikat is stellar as well. The only brand that immediately comes to mind that hits similar territory and creativity is Iron Ether.
  11. *I'm due to start a new job next week which will make it more challenging to get to the Post Office, so I'm dropping some of my prices until Friday morning in the hope of getting as much in the post by Friday lunch time as possible* All pedals are in great condition. I'll cover UK postage by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Please keep an eye on my other sales and feel free to contact me with any questions or to just chat pedals. Extremely easy to be creative with it and it sounds wonderful SOLD
  12. Thanks. I agree. 3 Leaf make some cracking filters but this is easily the best of the bunch for me. I’ve had various Protons, a Lovetone Meatball clone, the Triungulo Barbanera, and a couple of Iron Ether Xerograph Deluxes, but the Chromatron always finds its way back. The FX loop and feature set really sets it apart as being incredibly flexible.
  13. Now sold. Now £500 for the vastly upgraded bass, the original parts, a Fender hard case and a Fender gig bag, and UK delivery. I bought a lovely Squier Classic Vibe '60s Precision Bass as a project bass in July 2021 and have about £1,000 in it. I'm still not entirely convinced I want to part with it because it punches well above its weight but I mostly play 5-string basses now and I'd like to know somebody is getting use out of it. The Squier Classic Vibe series is known to be a bargain (I have a jazz from the same range too) but I decided to put all the bells and whistles on the P. I set out the specs below but basically everything barring the body has been upgraded by a trusted local luthier that has looked after about 20 basses for me over the years. The original Squier parts will also be provided with the bass. Specs Finish: Sunburst Body: Poplar Neck: Maple Fretboard: Laurel (frets dressed by trusted local luthier in July 2022) Pick-ups: Upgraded to Fender Pure Vintage '63 Bridge: Upgraded to Kickass Bridge Nickel 4 Tuners: Upgraded to Hipshot HB1s Strap Buttons: Upgraded to Schaller Straplocks Knobs: Upgraded to Fender American Tele Knobs Shielding and electronics re-done with materials from Six String Supplies Case: Will be supplied with Fender American Deluxe Bass Case and Fender gig bag (the Squier usually doesn't come with a bag or case) Weight 4.4kg on the bathroom scales Strings: Currently strung with Labella Deep Talking Flats, if I recall correctly It's been professionally set up by the same luthier that made all of the modifications. I've looked after the bass so it's in very good condition. I switched to 5 string basses around the time I got this so it's barely been used. The only mark I can find is a small slightly white spot on the headstock (it's so small it's difficult to photograph but I've tried to get it in the last photo). I’m happy to take further photos and will do my best to answer questions. Collection in central or SE London is preferred (I can knock £20 off) but I can arrange boxing and posting to most UK addresses.
  14. WITHDRAWN - SENDING TO GET IT REFINISHED As part of a slightly convoluted tale, I purchased a 3 Leaf Chromatron from Talkbass for another BC member at the start of this year. We ended up not completing the sale and I already have one (albeit a lot more beaten up) so I'm making it available here for the price I paid. The Chromatron is widely considered one of the best, if not the best, filter pedals ever. It took Spencer Doren 10 years of refining his existing designs like the Wonderlove and Groove Regulator to come up with the Chromatron. For a long while it was my white whale pedal. To see why it's so highly regarded, it's worth watching Zach Rizer's demo: One of the reasons this was a white whale pedal for me, in addition to it just sounding brilliant and being highly flexible, is that they are extremely rare and difficult to get hold of (hence me having to import a used one from the US, with all of the enjoyable import VAT costs that entails). For context, it's not been made in a few years because there hasn't been a manufacturer able to consistently churn out enclosures to Spencer's high standards (and those standards are very high - I've got several of his pedals and his preamp in my bass and all are absolutely top drawer). 3 Leaf have just moved to a new release model so it's not currently on the website. It was still listed two or three weeks ago and the RRP had steadily increased to $499, notwithstanding availability is currently theoretical. Like many of the units, the lettering had started peeling away, although compared to some others that I've seen the lettering is more intact than average. The pedal works perfectly (it sounds fantastic!) but it's not boxed and it's missing a screw (I have a lead on a new one now). Clear nail polish had been applied over the remaining lettering to ensure the controls remained visible (this is more apparent in some lights than others, as contrasted in the first and final photos). Still, it's in better condition than mine, which is currently away having a facelift having shed the majority of its labels, rendering it a CHRCM^TRON and a question of guesswork as to which cable goes where. Please feel free to contact me with any questions (or to chat all things pedals). I've listed this for what it cost me to get hold of it and I'd probably rather keep it than lose out while trying to do a good deed. It is a lot to pay for a pedal - although I think this is one of a narrow category that is worth it - and I'm still a bit uncomfortable asking that much. Accordingly, I'd be willing to consider a trade for one-off Cog pedals, a Cog T-70 or T-65 plus cash or something Star Warsy. I'm also usually on the lookout for Iron Ether pedals, particularly the Dubterrograph.
  15. WITHDRAWN - OPTED TO KEEP I'm due to get married in 2024 so I'm starting the pedal purge now to pay for wedding costs. Next on the block is my HX Stomp. 19. I just sold my Broughton Fliptop to Peter. The whole experience was a very pleasant one: the initial email exchanges were nice, payment was prompt, and the post-transaction conversations were nice too. A thoroughly nice bloke and very well thought of at Basschat for a reason. I would very gladly deal with Peter again and would recommend him to any BCers.
  20. I'd be keen on a mini T-47 too. Admittedly, that's not that helpful a statement though because I'm keen on basically anything Tom produces. I think today's release sold out after about a minute, so a similar time to the Grand Tarkin release. It's great though just to see multiple different pedals in the shop and, while they're sold out, knowing that at least they represent recent releases and continued production. I'm happy Tom's pedals are getting the commercial recognition they deserve too. 3 Leaf released a batch of Doom 2s on Sunday too - I didn't think I'd ever see that and an R-1 available in the same week.
  21. Not that I’ve seen. Facebook contained updates for the last few drops but I’ve not seen anything since the end of March. Hopefully there will be more pedals on the way soon.
  22. I’ve had four signature models, and only one of them was specifically bought because of the artist. That bass also has some features that I really enjoy that aren’t available on the standard model. The other signature models I’ve had are all just excellent at what they do, offered the specs I wanted, and had been well-reviewed on the playability and tone fronts. I likely wouldn’t let the artist’s name put me off unless they’d done something awful (in a non-musical context).
  23. Another cracker. I dread to ask whether you’ve had to hire stablehands to help manage your stable. I always like seeing your basses on here though; fantastic taste. Highly recommended seller. Good luck with the sale!
  24. The Element is one of the most useful pedals I’ve used and, because of that, I have three of them on different boards, including one that is just the Element and an HX Stomp. I find the ability to Bluetooth in music to practice too and the XLR out extremely useful at the end of a chain. I’ve got an ADAM too with similar functionality but the Element is the pedal that gets the most use.
