  1. Amazing price. If I recall correctly we got gouged for £359 on the UK on initial sale.
  2. Did Andertons say they weren’t going to stock L-1000s or just that particular colour? Mine is match green, so a bit odd and I wasn’t surprised that I needed to specially order that. The more standard core colours were in stock at the time though. I’ve only ever heard people say good things about the Tributes too.
  3. I hope it’s nothing bad too. I really like my G&L! It is tricky getting them though. In addition to my L-1000 having to be a special order, the JB-2 Tribute I ordered from Thomann in December is still yet to arrive (originally expected 1-2 weeks and quickly updated to April).
  4. Apologies for another post but I will happily say good things about these basses until the cows come home.
  5. It boggles my mind that this is still available, especially at this price. These basses are pretty incredible and very well made.
  6. Thanks very much. I’ve been waiting for a few pedals for a while so it’s been a bit crazy them all turning up at once. Loving your Moose chat in the threads too. He makes some cracking pedals.
  7. Hot on the heels of the Barbanera is another filter I ordered several months ago. Both filters were worth the wait but it does mean things are pretty quacky over here now. The Nimbus was ordered in August but held until the XD was also ready. @pantherairsoft The Dusk does look great. I don’t think I’ve played a Dr Scientist pedal yet but I’m definitely curious.
  8. I think it was just shy of £2k and arrived in about four and a half months. That was late 2022/early 2023.
  9. It wasn’t quite as long as eight months but it was more than six months from order to delivery. That said, the pedal is one of the best of its type that I’ve played and I’ve typically found Will to be helpful, and he kept me reasonably updated. I’m mindful of the fact that like a lot of boutique builders that it’s not his main gig so his time is at a premium. He’s helped me out with getting a spare backing plate for my original Barbanera and this is the third of his pedals I’ve owned (2 x Barbanera and a Malombra). It’s not the longest I’ve waited for a pedal and for anyone wondering whether it’s worth the wait I would say the pedal is great and if you order now at least the clock starts. I appreciate that not everyone either can wait or is willing to tie up money for so long without a pedal.
  10. My new Triungulo Barbanera arrived yesterday. It’s such a good pedal. I had one before but swapped it for, would you believe it, a Cog pedal with a Star Wars picture. It took me all of three days to order a new one. I believe this one has a new trimmer inside too although I’ve not opened it to check yet. I also placed an order for an FEA Labs Opti-FET this morning as my waiting list number came up.
  11. He has a lovely tone. Hearing that was enough to have me taking out my active jazz bass yesterday. I love the jazz tone but the active preamp (currently a 3 Leaf Anima rather than the stock Fender preamp) allows for a lot more exploration and nuance and puts it into similar territory to the Marcus Miller bass in the video (or, unexpectedly, StingRay territory).
  12. I ordered mine (matcha green rather than ash) from Andertons. It wasn't on the website so they did it via special order. It took a while but all worked out well.
  13. Showing the YouTube algorithm works: a video of multiple basses, almost half of which are signature basses:
  14. Another vote for the Dingwall NG transcending the artist. It’s certainly found a niche but I don’t think being Nolly Getgood’s bass is its defining feature. I quite like signature basses though. I think I’m right in saying I have four and the NG3 is the only one where the artist didn’t play a real role (compared with Geddy Lee and Jaco jazzes and a Tim Commerford StingRay).
  15. I got an email from IdiotBox Effects at the end of last week saying that the bass-specific Star Wars mystery pedal I ordered a while back should be ready in the next couple of weeks. Once that’s arrived I’ll see what size it is and then the plan is to put that board together.
  16. Thanks for the kind words @jimbobothy, always a gentleman (and great to chat to about pedals). Thank you too for the help on the Cog front. I only have one on these boards at the minute as some are being saved for something else. Haha, true. I’m not sure I’ve played an Aguilar pedal, in fact. Probably best not to go near another brand rabbit holes.
  17. This is wider than you’re aiming for but it feels close to square when the pedals are on: https://www.rockboard.de/en/pedalboards/quad-41/
  18. I recently bought a Cog pedal from Verb. That alone would have been enough for me to be delighted. It also happens though that Verb’s nice to chat with, knows his pedals and was quick and courteous. Great stuff!
  19. Haha, please don’t! My shoulder’s still got a couple of months to recover and I need to do something bass-related with my time! That’s the plan at least.
  20. Oh that's interesting; I've only really used these boards but I think I would find the upper row being lower down a bit too shallow to operate easily. I like the patchbays too so whatever gives them room to work is fine by me! Here's a picture to gauge depth: Thank you very much on both counts! Thanks very much. That's high praise coming from you too! Your boards are always amazing. It's taken me years to get some of the pedals, particularly the Iron Ether ones. Thanks to @Gwilym for helping me out on those and thanks to @Bunion @GisserD and @Brian45 on the 3 Leaf/Pike front. This is a great pedal community and that is terrible for my pedal GAS. Thanks all! I have one more 4.3 board sat idle at the moment so this may well not be the last pedalboard post.
  21. That’s a good point. I’ve been trying to use top input jacks for each pedal and I think there’s only a half dozen amongst those that aren’t.
  22. They're all Rockboards. In the bottom picture, the two big boards at the top are Rockboard 4.3s, I think, the Broughton and IE boards are 4.1s, the 3 Leaf and EAE boards are 2.2s and the Noble one is either a 2.1 or 2.0. I really like them for routing options, they fit power boards easily and they're sturdy. The only thing I dislike is that the size up (so extra space at the top/bottom) doesn't really assist if you have top-jack pedals because of where the gaps are for wires. I'm not sure I want to go for three rows though! I've got on more 4.3 board sat here, power connected but waiting for pedals. I have a couple of plans but they may take a while to do, so I though I'd share these pictures now.
  23. If there was any doubt whether I am a pedal obsessive it's been dispelled since I suffered a shoulder injury. I've played less bass so I found a different bass-related outlet: building boards! I recently put together a European board using excellent versions of each type of pedal I play using only European manufacturers, and using each manufacturer no more than once. The board, power supplies and cables are European too. I think only the velcro isn't (I went for American dual lock instead of Swiss velcro). I've been meaning to put together the European board since August but was waiting on a particular pedal. Ultimately I gave up (and it shipped today!!). In the meantime I put together other themed boards by manufacturer (Broughton, Iron Ether, Caveman, Noble and Cali76 (it may as well be one brand!), EAE and 3 Leaf): Here's a photo of all of the assembled boards (save that the BC1 is being used on the European board so that Caveman board has disappeared):
  24. Recently sold a pedal to @Ander87. Lovely guy, a breeze of a transaction and excellent pedal chat!
