  1. That's a shame, particularly as you had it made. If Tom opens up custom orders again perhaps you can have something else made: Terminator 2? I've tried to be very careful with purchases; it's true that the prices on the COG website have gone up (as they have with every manufacturer because of increased input costs) but, with the odd exception, I've found people on here, Talkbass, Reverb and the like to be fair with their asking prices. There are some I wanted but just couldn't justify the expense. The pricing of custom units is tricky because there's a tension between rarity and the spec just having been made to suit a single person. Compared to a couple of years ago there are a lot of COG pedals on Reverb but the demand for them has risen (although I would say the asking price for some I've seen is still very high given current availability). Hopefully pedals will continue to be regularly released and more people will get to play them (noting here that I have hoarded mine so sorry to those that wanted to play them).
  2. Yes it is, sorry about that!
  3. When I say version numbers I mean these models. Again, I can't speak to the functional differences (if any). Version 1: https://www.gearnews.com/cog-effects-t-65-t-47-t-70/ Version 2: https://www.cogeffects.co.uk/t-70-octave.php
  4. To be quite honest, I don't know beyond the slightly different looks (I consider version 1 as being the unit with the webbing-like finish and version 2 as having the smoother graphics in use immediately before the latest monochrome models). I'm not sure whether there is a difference in the circuit. I think there was a question about whether v1 may have a v1 T-16 octave, which was a little different to the v2 T-16 but I'm not aware of having seen an answer. I'd love to play either type. I would absolutely love to have a v2 model though to complete the set of COG pedals in the immediately pre-monochrome finish though (as you can probably guess, I'm a bit of a completist - I have an R-1 on the way and at this point it's probably best for me to try to forget there are Rogue Ones floating around as well).
  5. Very true. I've been concentrating on getting the most up-to-date version of each and trying to replicate the shop page of the COG website for much of the last few years. At this point, I think I've played just about everything I was hoping to (and more!) but would be very keen to try a T-70 v2.
  6. Sadly not! I think I saw a Terminator-themed pedal being sold in Ireland but I think that sold just as I was starting the COG journey. I hope whoever has it is really enjoying it though because it looked amazing!
  7. Hi all, I’ve posted a wanted ad in the classifieds for a T-70 v2. I imagine anyone who goes on that thread regularly is sick of seeing me post about a T-70 but I’ve been on a mission to play as many of Tom’s fantastic pedals as I can over the last few years and that is the one left that I would really love to try. If anybody has one and would be willing to at least have a conversation about parting with it, I’d love to chat. I can’t offer trades in the wanted ads I don’t think but, in case I’m allowed to say such things here, I’ve got a few rare bits that may be of interest if you’re not looking to sell it. Basschat has been an incredible place to help with my COG journey so thank you to those that have helped. Here’s a picture of where the collection got to last week. I’m also waiting for one more Star Wars pedal before I can finally make that board. Cheers all (and thanks Tom!)!
  8. Lovely bass! I bought a fantastic Wal bass from @dyerseve about 15 months ago and if I had the money I wouldn't hesitate to deal with him again. Good luck with the sale!
  9. That looks amazing! Loving the all-black look. The Nomad as the best octave fuzz I’ve played and the MBD is an absolute monster. I hope it gives you and your audience a lot of joy!
  10. Fantastic! I ordered a Cave Bear a while back after seeing your earlier posts and have a couple of his modulation pedals on the way. I’m really interested to hear what you think of this.
  11. I love the fluffy pedal. I should try to get one of those.
  12. R-1s are great! I’m surprised they’ve lasted this long to be honest. Playing them is like playing the angriest synth in the world.
  13. Touché! I’m waiting on a couple of mystery Star Wars pedals I ordered way back (the last update was late December saying they’d be in their way soon), then the Star Wars board should see the light of day! It’s still missing functionality like a compressor and a delay but I’m hoping it won’t be bad for a themed board. If anyone has any more Star Wars pedals I’d love to know! Thanks to @lee650 for getting me started and those who’ve helped!
  14. Nice!! I love that finish.
  15. They’re live!
  16. I’ve still had a few parcels like that turn up on Saturday so hopefully you’ll get lucky!
  17. Love it. BOD, 66, The Enabler. Nice. The Enabler is an obscenely good headphone amp too. What's the colourfully-knobbed pedal?
  18. You’ve got me interested in the OxEAE Fuzz. I’m going through a bit of an EAE phase and your choice in pedals is always excellent.
  19. I’m sorry you missed out, too. Things look brighter in terms of regular releases though, which is great. The R-1 is definitely worth it too; it does something different from the T-47 but it’s a lot of fun. Good luck on the next release or finding one in the meantime!
  20. Chris sold me a pedal recently that I'd been after for a very long time. He was a pleasure to chat to and a really nice guy to deal with. Highly recommended and I hope we have more chances/excuses to interact on Basschat.
  21. I recently bought some pedals from Ian: what a lovely bloke! The pedals were exactly as described and Ian took not only the time to chat with me ahead on the phone ahead of me sending payment, he drove them to me when couriers proved unreliable. Absolutely top stuff. Thank you!
  22. That is an amazing array of rare pedals. Right up my alley! Nice to see some Cog love and Broughton too.
  23. Rather than go off reeling off a load of boutique unobtainable pedals, I wanted to flag my most useful utility pedals: the Broughton BBA, the Darkglass Element and the Damnation Audio Dirtfixer. I have the first two on nearly every board I’ve put together. Nice to see the BF-3 get so much love. It’s a classic. I sold mine and then immediately bought another. Special mention to the JAM Delay Llama Xtreme though as being such a fun pedal to play.
  24. Haha, thanks very much. It absolutely is still the case. It’s my white whale at this point so I’d love to play one, although this year has been a good one for playing more Cog pedals.
  25. I recently bought a pedal from GR7G5TER: it arrived quickly, well-packaged and in the condition described. Nice to deal with too and much recommended.
