  1. Picked this up recently but have concluded it’s overkill for me in a small gig band. It’s in really good condition with no visible signs of wear. Guess everyone knows how powerful these things are so I won’t go into detail here. i don’t have the original box but if p&p is required it will well bubble wrapped and boxed. Price is £700 plus p&p at cost which I think is a fair price. I’ll drive an hour or so if meet up is preferred. I drive over to the North West regularly if that helps. Not looking for any trades sorry.
  2. They’re brilliant on holiday especially if you’ve an Apple Watch Music pauses when you take on put and you can restart from the watch. Phone can then stay out of the sun and not overheat
  3. Anyone tried one of the new Sire semi acoustic basses yet ? Looks promising from the promo vids
  4. Dunlop grippy 1.5mm for me. I take 5 or 6 to a gig with spares on my amp and on a mic stand. I'm paranoid about dropping a pick mid song but I've never dropped one in my life. Guess we all need our security blankets.
  5. Decided to move on this 51 telebass bitsa that I put together for a winter project. it’s a new Allparts Telebass body finished in blonde polyurethane. Neck is an Allparts telebass neck I picked on on basschat that I’ve finished in vintage tint nitro lacquer. Pickup is a Lindy Fralin 51P, bridge is a retrovibe with individually adjusted brass saddles. Tuners are Fender Vintage. Neck is 40mm at the nut and is a nice D profile. Not super slim but no baseball bat either. Cavities are all copper shielded. Strung with a set of Picato flats and it weighs in at a reasonable 9lb 2oz Plays nice and sounds like you’d expect ! I’m looking for £595 and would prefer a meet up rather than post as I’ve no case for it. if postage was needed I can throw in a generic hard case for another £50 Shout up if any questions
  6. Lovely to deal with George who bought my iPad with no fuss Thank you George
  7. 1974 Fender Jazz Bass in black with 3 bolt maple neck with pearl inlays and cream binding. I believe black was a custom colour at this time. The bass is all original except for one of the pots which is stamped 1975 and was presumably fitted at that time to replace a faulty one. Comes with bridge and pickup chrome covers, thumb rest and it’s original hang tags. The body has some mojo as seen in the pics with one noticeable scar on the upper body edge and buckle rash on the rear. Otherwise it’s pretty clean. The neck is very clean and the binding is all intact. The truss rod works as it should and the neck is straight with plenty of life in the frets. It plays really well with the growl you’d expect. Weighs in at 9lb 6oz on the digi scales. The Fender case is not original to the bass but is correct for the era. It’s in really good nick as well. I think this is one for meet up only and inspection is welcome. After consulting some folk I’ve valued it at £3200. I will consider p/x for a nice modern jazz style bass plus cash my way. For a straight sale I’m now asking £2600 I’m based in Wakefield but happy to travel upto a couple of hours to meet seriously interested parties. PM me for any further info.
  8. NG2 5 String in stunning Ferrari Red with matching headstock. It’s in great condition with minimal signs of wear except for one chip on underside as shown in pics. It’s got a new set of Dingwall strings on it. Comes with a Dingwall gigbag. It comes in at 9lb 2oz on the digi scales. Decided it’s time to thin the herd and I can get by without a 5 string. i’m asking £1450 I’d prefer to do collection or meet up within 1.5 hours of Wakefield, West Yorkshire. I do have a box for transport but I’ve no suitable hardcase for insurance purposes.

  9. If you buy it and want to change the pickguard then PM me. I’m sure I have one in white
  10. Enjoyed it - hope they make a follow up
  11. After the band's brief flirtation with in-ears I'm not really using these. Box is a bit tatty but the set themselves have had minimal use. They come with the BT1 bluetooth set as well as the wired option and various other accessories as pictured. Am asking £180 £160 uk posted

  12. I can help but am away on hols till 19th April
  13. I love mine and have no regrets about swapping from my previous multi pedal set up to the Stomp. Just give some thought as to how you’re going to power it. The power supply it comes with isn’t the sturdiest thing but you’ve probably already got something powering your board that will do the job. And also think how you’re going to operate it in a gig setting. Three stomp switches isn’t a lot so I’d defo add an auxiliary dual foot switch to give you FS4/5. I also added a Morningstar MC6. All that, plus my wireless receiver sits nicely on a pedaltrain nano plus. Shout if you want a pic.
  14. I had a jazz with that style scratchplate and knobs. Can’t recall much about it other than it was Mexican, not US. I swapped it out for a more standard scratch plate and bell plate. Still got it I’m the spares box. Still a bargain either way.
  15. It will be a hacked account, probably the account on someone who is pretty much inactive on Facebook. They will likely have listed loads of different types of bargain goods, often with the same price tag. Guess it must be worth their while otherwise why do it ?
  16. I’m going to buy it. And then tell them I’m away with work so am going to send a courier to pick it up. I just need them to pay for the insurance by entering their card details on a link I send them and then I’ll reimburse it.
  17. I might have to put the price up 😊 it came on a knackered Columbus jazz I bought in lockdown as a doer upper
  18. What you also tend to find is they always offer to buy your ‘item’ not your ‘Dingwall ng3’ or whatever it is you’re selling. I’ve had scores of such messages over the years and it’s clearly a copy & paste job. That’s the trouble with kids today. Too lazy to put some proper effort into scamming you😊
  19. For my needs I’m wondering if the ADJ DMX 384 Controller would be better than the Obey 70 Can buy new for £104 and it has the plus a midi command to turn sound to light off and on which would be useful.
  20. Thanks for the input everyone. Much to mull over but the midi and physical DMX controller seems the way forward.
  21. That’s where my mindset is going Tim Can pick up an Obey 70 for about £70 and stick it in a rack case between my amp and cab Then I can always midi commands to it from my pedal board if I can figure it out.
  22. I’m looking to upgrade the bands lighting. We’re just a covers band who play the pub circuit so no luxury of a sound or light person. We currently just have a 4 par Equinox unit with a broken footswitch and are going to add a wash light or 2. Clearly DMX is the way forward to control the lights but I’m torn between 2 options. The iPad route would be clean as we already use a router for the iPad controlled mixer. But the big problem I see is how are we going to control it when we’re all busy playing. Second option is a dmx controller with midi input. As I run a Morningstar mc6 into a Helix Stomp presumably I could run through into the dmx controller and call up Chasers from there. Downside on that is that it’s another lump of kit to transport. Just wondered what other similar bands used.
