1.
Mike would you be willing do any trades or just looking for cash?
I'm really looking for a straight sale James. If Barefaced gear can't generate a sale, we may as well all go home
2. Steve is looking at my DJ4 Which i'm selling cos I want an ACG Recurve on here So if anyone has one of those to trade with Steve, that might work nicely
3. And whilst we're at it, if anyone is mulling this over, - some serious GAS (for a bass on here) means I will take a lower offer on this.
4.
That's good news at least I think they're questioning whether the holes still line up for the string through?
Yep - the string holes line up fine. I've been experimenting with through body and through bridge. I've also found I've had to move some strings over a saddle slot to get them lined up with the rear pickup pole pieces. Can't help thinking a single P pickup is a lot simpler
5. Ones persons better isn't always anothers James. But for me, markbass was a little warmer in terms of my sound and set up. The midget has more clarity though, depends what you're after. But in terms of small, light and loud, the midget is right up there. I mainly just use my 121 combo so a little extra weight in the extension cab when I need it isn't a biggie
6. IIRC the original bridge was a 3 hole as well so it required no additional drilling
7. They're just songs, not personal statements My band has an average of 50+ and we're still doing Teenage Dirtbag, Teenage Kicks etc And I guess 20th Century Boy is very last century now
8. Sensible cash offers considered
9. Price and postage clarified
10. A brief unsuccessful foray into upright leaves me concluding that it's not for me so this is up for grabs. It's a Stagg 'Rocketmusic' which I believe is a model made for Normans Music down in Burton on Trent. It looks identical to all the other Stagg EUB's out there except for the headstock name as shown below. It's in really good condition and comes with gig bag, bow and both handles. Electrics ate working fine. I'm asking £225 Ono and given the size of it, it'll have to be collection or meet up
11. Excellent condition and very little use. Has rubber feet attached on 2 sides for easy vertical or horizontal stacking. Selling because I'm using my markbass 121 more and more Complete with roqsolid cover. No trades please Looking for £375 which includes uk postage
12. Thinning out the collection by advertising this Lakland DJ4 in lake placid blue with maple neck and white block markers and inlays. The action is really low and it's a very fast neck to play This bass plays & sounds great but there are a couple of issues Firstly, it has unfortunately been slightly damaged by a courier and a slightly 'tight' box. Damage is superficial (as shown in photos) with the 4 pieces of paint/lacquer rescued and carefully glued them back in-place (so, from distance, the body/finish looks OK) - they sat-in (prior to gluing) very neatly, but seem to have dropped slightly when glued. Secondly, and I hadn't even noticed till a friend pointed it out, the headstock is a slightly different shade of LPB to the body It is currently fitted with a John East DJ Retro and a jeannie tortoiseshell plate which required a bit of cutting. I didn't make a perfect job but it's ok. I still have the original control plate and electrics and also the original white pickguard which I'll include in the sale. Price is £595 ono based on collection from West Yorkshire. Happy for purchaser to arrange courier It comes with a gigbag but I can include a fender moulded hard case for a little extra If you don't want the DJ Retro, I'll reduce by £70 but be aware the tortoise plate won't be a flush fit with the original control plate, you'd be better with the white.
13. A couple of trade offers but I'm holding out for a sale
14. some interest but still no takers
15.
Think I'll just wait it out till this goes down to about £15 Lovely bass!
We're nearly at the end of the line on price !
16.
Don't fancy a trade for my pair of ibby blazers by any chance?
I'd prefer a sale Andy but I wouldn't rule out a trade. Your Ibby's look nice enough. I guess in these hard times, it's still early days for my ad
17. Sunday breakfast bump
18. This is a 1997-98 American Precision Deluxe finished in Shoreline Gold with a white pearl scratchplate. It has a fender deluxe bridge fitted (rather than the black badass III in the piccies) don't have the original bridge) and it looks the dogs nuts. It's just had a set up done at Trad Music here in Wakefield It's the version with a humbucker in the bridge position and has a master volume, pan pot for pups, and 3 band EQ. Runs off a single 9v battery (some later models were 18v) Comes with original case,(covered in stickers) but very usable. It's in very good condition with only a couple of minor blemishes. One is a couple of minor marks near the side jack socket. The other is a slight difference in shade on the rear of the body where the previous owner had fitted a clear adhesive film to prevent buckle rash. I'm based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and am happy to meet up within a resonable distance (say 1.5 hours max). Otherwise we can sort a courier but i'd prefer a face to face deal if possible Am asking £645 which is well under the price of recent sales of these on here. Piccies are here: http://s1126.photobu...rary/P%20Deluxe
