I'm surprised that we have "Timewasters" on BassChat
mikegatward replied to thebrig's topic in General Discussion
Some folk don't seem to understand that good manners costs nothing and can get you a long way in life. With so many methods available nowadays, non-communication is unforgiveable and frankly, the 'too busy' excuse just doesn't wash. I've been generally lucky on here, ebay and gumtree/preloved but there's always the occasional time waster - both buyers and sellers. Ebays feedback rating goes some way to managing the timewasters but shame there's no similar system on here. Feedback is fine but it always tends to be positive only -
Welcome to basschat. Barcelona is one of my favourite cities to visit, especially when it is cold and wet in the UK (I guess that means all the time )

My regular band aren't bad on communication. We have a closed facebook group and that works really well. We also have a shared google diary so everyone can update their availability My other band are a nightmare. It takes a mixture of texts, emails and/or phone calls to get through. Some folk don't read messages at all, some folk read them but don't respond with a simple 'OK'. There's no way i could get them to go down the facebook route. We're mainly in our 50's and because I've worked in 'technology' for so long, I think everyone else is as familiar with technology as I am. Clearly not !
