10. No longer using this so have decided to put it up for sale. I've no box or power supply for it but the pedal is in very good condition - there's velcro on the base where it had been attached to my board I'm asking [s]£55 [/s]£50 posted within UK Here's a url to a piccie of the same model, it's the original version [url="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?um=1&hl=en&safe=active&sa=N&tbo=d&biw=1403&bih=703&tbm=isch&tbnid=SqYJsukERS_uPM:&imgrefurl=http://www.12fret.com/content/2011/07/26/tech-21-boost-d-l-a-mark-1-sale/&docid=-NID2RCyi1Jh6M&imgurl=http://www.12fret.com/wordpress/wp-content/gallery/tech21_boost_dla_mark1/Tech21_Boost_DLA_Mark1.jpg&w=1059&h=1261&ei=SpjtUP3bNaf-2QWe8IGYAQ&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=237&vpy=103&dur=3887&hovh=245&hovw=206&tx=111&ty=140&sig=106406911143356253105&page=1&tbnh=147&tbnw=124&start=0&ndsp=32&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:93"]http://www.google.co...29,r:2,s:0,i:93
11. Just traded my Stingray for Matteo's Sandberg PM The bass arrived safely and promptly. It came perfectly packaged and sounds great Matteo was great to deal with, comms were prompt and positive. I'd happily deal with him again. Geography was not a problem for either of us Thanks Matteo - hope you enjoy the Ray
12. Xmas eve update Thanks for all the feedback - things will go quiet for a while with Xmas hols but I'll be talking to the woodwork man in early Jan about a prototype and I've already sourced some orange tolex In the meantime, merry Xmas to all basschatters
13.
A few fairly obvious questions:

Will this design change (i.e. enlarge) the dimensions much?
What sort of weight penalty would come with the wooden casing?
What ballpark cost figure have you in mind?

Can't gauge costs yet but I will take the minimum weight gain/dimension increase into the design requirements
14. I'm in discussions with a woodworker guy about making a prototype casing for my Orange Terror. It would be covered in orange tolex and would be designed so the amp could be pulled out easily to allow for valve changes etc. It will probably incorporate mesh parts around the vented areas. If the prototype is successful, I might look to have a batch of these made up so wondered what the likely interest would be from the BC community. I've no idea on cost as yet - and the cost may well come down to the numbers involved So if you're interested in taking it further then shout up. i'm also interested to hear ideas about design I've heard of people in the US making and selling this type of thing but it all seems a bit hit and miss and impractical in terms of shipping costs etc
15. If you don't get a trade, I'd be interested in a purchase (subject to price)
16. I contacted Shopatron who distribute Hercules gear in the UK as i'd lost the tightening screw on my double stand. Alex went out of his way to identify the correct part and sent it to me free of charge. We're always quick to bemoan poor service so it's only right to report the good stuff as well
17. Our admittedly heavy handed drummer was using the house kit on an open mic band night and broke the snare head in the first few bars of the first number. And we weren't the first band on
18. I have a Panther Special, it looks like the one in this (non-English) link [url="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&safe=active&sa=X&tbo=d&biw=1424&bih=703&tbm=isch&tbnid=vPIN9Uq2sQVLtM:&imgrefurl=http://audiostacja.pl/index.php%3Fle%3Dprodukty%26pr%3Dprodukty%26numer%3D448%26kryterium%3DSANDBERG&docid=f0Sxr3g8S5L8RM&imgurl=http://audiostacja.pl/images/produkty/Sandberg/panther4-special-walnut_large.jpg&w=3072&h=1007&ei=bD_QUJGwLqSd2QXCh4DwDw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=956&vpy=216&dur=220&hovh=128&hovw=392&tx=125&ty=71&sig=106406911143356253105&page=1&tbnh=87&tbnw=266&start=0&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:0,i:132"]http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?hl=en&safe=active&sa=X&tbo=d&biw=1424&bih=703&tbm=isch&tbnid=vPIN9Uq2sQVLtM:&imgrefurl=http://audiostacja.pl/index.php%3Fle%3Dprodukty%26pr%3Dprodukty%26numer%3D448%26kryterium%3DSANDBERG&docid=f0Sxr3g8S5L8RM&imgurl=http://audiostacja.pl/images/produkty/Sandberg/panther4-special-walnut_large.jpg&w=3072&h=1007&ei=bD_QUJGwLqSd2QXCh4DwDw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=956&vpy=216&dur=220&hovh=128&hovw=392&tx=125&ty=71&sig=106406911143356253105&page=1&tbnh=87&tbnw=266&start=0&ndsp=36&ved=1t:429,r:15,s:0,i:132
