Hi All, Just wondering if anyone has played, or has an opinion on, the new(ish) basses that Markbass have released - specifically the Kimandu and Kilimanjaro? There are a few YouTube demo vids and one review online from what I could see. I have to say they sound great from what I’ve heard, though the body shape is, shall I say, an acquired taste! There don’t seem to be any UK retailers selling them as yet so it’s not easy to get my hands on one to try out, am therefore interested in any opinions! I am optimistic about the Richard Bona link though - presuming that something with his ‘mark’ on it (pun intended) should be good. Thanks.

That is stunning! Bassman - if you’re not going for a fancy top (sounds pricey), the red burst with black pickguard and hardware would look great IMO.

Hello, I've recently signed up after being a long-term lurker! I've played bass for 19 years (not that it shows in my playing ability!). I used to play in bands but my focus is now on 'playing for myself' and also training to become a luthier. Again, more for myself than a career change but who knows what the future may hold? When playing I currently spend most of my time switching between my Warwick Thumb BO 4 and my Vigier Passion IV. Although I would love to get my hands on a nice Thumb NT one day...
