I would advise Aguilar - tone hammer series. 350w; 500w and 700w models. More like 350 or 500 as loud as You think your bands will be. Very small and light - perfect for messing around a lot. I preffer to keep 4 and also 5 at my garage. Like to use them bouth, but simetimes just don't need that 5th B string and need a vintage 4 string j-bass tone more.

I used to use them for a long time, but after they start to malfunction at low freq, i changed to Roland RH-300. Sounds good, but very bad to wear on and off - need some time to practice with that.
