Don't worry, neepheid automatically stamps on anyone daring to query the experience of shopping with guitarguitar, it's like a quirk of the forum software
Does that mean narrow 1½" nut and flat 12" fretboard radius?
G&L necks have always come in a variety of ways, but this on an L2000 would be a less common combination.
It was the combination of the weight of my 424 and the particular way it pulled against my injured shoulder that made me have to sell it. I often wonder what a 424 or 1024 would be like with the body reshaped and then chambered, with ultralight tuners. But not enough to spend the money finding out. But oh I miss that neck and oh I miss how it played. Oh well.
My other G&L has returned. The replacement neck is pretty underwhelming, especially considering that it took them seven months to come up with it 🙄
However, I have now at least got the right pickguard for the Pharaoh Gold Firemist finish
Popped into RWB Music in York (the one at the station end of the Ouse Bridge) and hanging amongst the usual Vintage Ps and Js was a '68/69 EB-0.
Couldn't resist having a quick unamplified noodle. Felt not so much small as compressed, the same amount of bass-essence in more dense form.
