    Trying to remember what buying and selling I've done. Early on, I bought Gramma pad from thebrig and a Line6 multieffects unit from Rich. I bought hooky_lowdown's Squier Matt Freeman, despite that ad saying withdrawn I sold the pickup from that bass to Can'tthinkofausername, who asked after it when he read that I had replaced it.     Something that is frustrating is when people conflate boosting the treble and bass with actively cutting the mids. Usually it helps to understand the individual perspective that comments are coming from.

    After too many months dithering, I pulled myself together, had a final fond play of my BB424, and sent it off to Bass Direct, where it will be sold for a price like the one I paid, ie sod all for the quality. I'm going to miss that neck so much. My knackered shoulder is insistent, though

    ** SOLD ** A set of 40-60-80-100 Rotosound monel flats SM77, cut for my Squier Precision. I tend to cut a bit on the generous side, as I like to get bored whilst winding them onto the tuners. I put them on my P out of curiosity, to find out what they sound like with a Dimarzio Model P. Answer: good, but not to my taste. I suspect I just don't like making the sound of flats as much as I like listening to them. I did like how quick they are to sound, relative to La Bellas, and how even the tone is from string to string. They got them for £40 delivered from GAK, though I could have paid £50 for them from Strings Direct. So does £25 delivered for a set that has seen less than 30 minutes of very gentle play sound right?
