4.
Hi mate. I knocked up a few quick samples just now. It's my Squier Jazz strung with LaBella flats and direct into my soundcard (post-effects obviously!). Each clip starts "clean", then the Bugcrusher goes to 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. 5. I think the fact that im answering a "have you ever pulled after a gig" thread on a bass guitar internet forum says a lot about my sex appeal.
6. bump with price drop - £80 collection or + p&p
7. BUMMMMP throw an offer at me if youre interested
8. Absolutely fantastic little practice amp this thing. Best sound ive ever got from such a small amp. Its true stereo which i think plays a big part in its sound, with amp modelling, effects, a built in tuner, built in drum machine with around 40 different beats and a tap tempo button. Ill be honest, i found the effects pretty useless, apart from the chorus reverb and octave in small doses. Ive used this to practice with a quiet guitarist keyboard and a drummer playing with brushes and it cut through really well. Theres a huge amount of bass response that this thing throws out at you. I think its supposed to be 8w or something silly like that but the sound it pumps out is louder than a lot of 30w amps ive used. Ive also used it for home recording with its "rec out" and its line-in makes it perfect for jamming along to mp3's, hell ive even used it just as a speaker for my laptop when ive had bbq's etc. The stereo amp really does set it apart from regular practice amps Anyways details can be found here http://www.rolandus.com/products/productde...p?ProductId=940 Heres some pics I bought this new around 6 months ago at around £150 and its still in the same condition it was when I bought it so looking for £80 or nearest offer Would prefer collection, im based in Grimsby N.E Lincs which is about an hours drive away from Sheffield and I cant drive so meeting someone half way would be a no no. But this thing is really really light and small (15lb i think) so if someone wants to arrange a courier to pick it up id be fine with that too.
9. i buy elixirs, probably change them once every 3 months. or when they snap, which isnt a regular thing
10. no congrats from me, just pure viscious jealousy
11. i think when the item ends plays a big part of it too. if that was ending on a friday night at half 9, maybe 20 of those watchers wouldnt have been online, compared to maybe a monday night at half 6
12. relisted due to an idiot buyer
13. Am I right in thinking that you can connect to your computer/laptop with the usb cable, and without having to use cubase, just play through your pc speakers?
14. when i saw the title of this thread i wondered whether this was bass or ass related
15. how have i been living my life until this point without spotify? never heard of it til i read this post, its awesome!
16.
I found I was lugging a pedal board around just to house a Tuner/Compressor/Limiter and Power Brick, as generally I am not big on effects BUT, I bought a Zoom B2.1U to replace the individual pedals and have found some of the effects really good. The Drum patterns are fantastic and as a result I have sold my Practice amp as well. No need anymore just a set of headphones. Great value and love that it is so compact.
oooo you shouldnt have said that. when i buy mine im going to be tempted to get rid of my microcube rx, but i really do love the little thing ...decisions....decisions

Big Muff

if you should decide you want a russian big muff (same as what chris woltenholme from muse uses to achieve his fuzz sound), i have one on ebay, a link can be found in the appropriate forum oh and to help you decide, i should add... i wouldnt recomend a NYC silver big muff, too wishy washy, whereas the russian big muff is a lot more defined, i like the sound but i dont use fuzz whatsoever anymore. I would like to try a bass big muff though to see if it lives up to all the hype

19. haha awesome
20. i think youre overreacting a little bit. if the band is as special as you say it is, then wait the three months, practice, do some acoustic slots with someone, keep yourself busy and get back to it when they return from ther hols, our keys player was in california for almost 2 months when this ash cloud was about, didnt break us up, didnt even feel like hed been gone by the time we had practice again on the other hand, if it isnt worth it, just wish them luck and do something else
21. dont know if your still deciding to buy, but i found a decent demo by stu hamm using the b2.1u9t or whatever its called, im assuming theres not a lot of difference between each variation of the b2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MSXfklXNn8...feature=related im starting to become tempted by the b2 myself, im in the market for a tuner, but this has a tuner + plenty more and goes secondhand for around £45
22. IMO black crowes butchered this track
23.
I use Guitar Pro. It's good, but I suppose the downside is you have to pay for it. I've been getting files from GProTab.net.
Get yourself on tuxguitar mate, its freeware and opens guitarpro files no problem
and to answer the OP, if you hadn't already guessed, i use 911tabs.com
cheers, ill give it a shot, been struggling to find decent stevie wonder tabs
24.
Agreed... It even eliminates the need for a synth or keys player meaning we can stay a 2 piece...
is the banner in your sig a link to your 2-piece band? if so, you guys sound massive
25. First off, if anybody doesnt use it, they should. Its basicly software that plays powertab aswell as guitarpro files. Its a fantastic way to read tab as you can slow sections down and really listen to the rhythm of something rather than guessing how something is played when reading standard tab. it can be downloaded here http://tuxguitar.herac.com.ar/ secondly, people who do use it, where do you find your tabs? I use guitar-universe myself and whilst it does have many many files on there, theres always certain tracks i cannot find
