  1. Now these do not come up for sale very often, think the last time I saw one was about 10 years back https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/154363629818?hash=item23f0ca10fa:g:HEQAAOSw3uZhfWBH&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA4DWeNJdwpPlp4FAtN%2FTogkmhahq6pgqmXhwQXfysU5tvmWrlQ30yzm2tZb4F5uhyJ1KUJzS1sc4GU9Xtfl7ADMIolmPhxFiq2b3tiBw0e2S6ipWLg2qNqKupDY%2BkeCAIRjdVa%2Bl%2F7SQJ%2BpiF9v%2FdgXLz2Db9H2%2FSsET9zmtWGqztaG3sA1HUigdDF0DxN37WZ2R0WYGLzYJ69Hg0R3OWKDnrBCncf7X4Imc%2Br11ynzocQktSwxpvz%2FfsHVEATJoW9AyU%2Bh7F1xujvmq670KK%2FsYSk5Q9%2BiuXuI0jS%2FO%2FugXX|tkp%3ABk9SR7CfnKSHYQ Not cheap and not close, but hey, what's money and distance when a bass of this calibre is on offer? I've said many things about this bass over the years, but suspect the below sums it up best.....
  2. So Stanley owns a Marcus sig, interesting 🤔
  3. Annoyingly I just moved house and threw a set of castors from an old 1516 away. Sorry
  4. So, played this in anger through a rather large Mesa rig at the weekend and it did not disappoint. It has that wonderful clarity and character that comes with the classic Precision SC but being able to blend the two PUPs brings a whole new World of tone to the party. It's also incredibly resonant, light and playable. Only quibble is that the roll-off on the tone is extreme to say the least, moving from twang to dub within a few degrees, so I'm going to take a look at the circuit in the near future. Gut feel is that we're going to see a few more Twin SC Precisions, it works very nicely. Full review with pics and clips to follow 👍
  5. Will get that, thanks for the heads up. First month of my Electronic Music Technology course at ELP and we were marched round to Sarm East where we had the pleasure of seeing Trevor Horn recording ABC’s Lexicon of Love. At the time I was into Kraftwerk, King Crimson, Hawkwind, and Fischer-Z so wasn’t as impressed as I would be now 🤔
  6. Sad state of affairs when such awesome tech is valued at £300 when so much underpowered and overspecified gear sells for so much more. Great for us Boogie fans however 👍
  7. Great thread, both the idea and the content, nice one @Doctor J
  8. That’s good to know, thanks 👍
  9. It’s in the small room so will only be low volume, will move it into the big room (not yet built) for anything more. And yes, this thing will happily take the wall off a building if one is not careful, not helped by a rather sensitive master volume curve 👍
  10. Thanks Paul, that's going to help for sure 👍
  11. Probably the specifics might be down to our good friend in Petulma @agedhorse, but is there any reason I shouldn't use a large combo on its side? The combo in question is a Mesa Carbine, it would only be used at low volumes when on its side, and at present main concern is that on its side one of the fan vents would be blocked, although I'm worried there may be unknown unknowns? Interestingly the unit should have fitted upright into a nice little alcove in my new studio, but guess what......? Thanks Chris
  12. If you're the type of guy who holds on to a single bass over extended periods of time you're going to struggle on this forum Only joking, lovely bass, sincerely wish I could find one bass to rule them all, god knows I've tried........
  13. Great rig BTW, I would be very happy to be gigging that 👍
  14. Great unit, all my mobile work is done on one of these, the plugins alone are worth the asking price 👍
  15. It’s your right to sell to wherever you choose I guess, but why only EU?
