I know that photo in the O/P looks a bit rubbish, but multiple layers of bubblewrap, despite being a PITA to unravel sometimes, are probably the safest way of moving gear around via couriers, only caveat being if it has cables, careful with the scissors, I very nearly cut through a mains cable that the seller had wrapped rather interestingly

I hate hissy amps, I can live with it when it's a cheapo or old, but when allegedly high end gear by manufacturers such as Markbass or PJB hisses noticeably out of the box it goes straight back, I'm not going to use EQ to deal with a design or production flaw. Yep, the one I linked to above is included in my UAD package also, but I have a similar problem! However, the fact that so many people seem to swear by multi-band compression, even on a speaking voice (which is where a lot of my work is going to be from next month), inclines me to better understand and use it. I'm going to be watching those tutorial videos this weekend I suspect!

Some 90s MIJ Fenders had bridge piezo and split coil Precision PUPs and required a modification to make them playable, at least if you wanted to use both, there’s a thread on here somewhere 👍
