As per other FS posts I've started recently, upcoming house move is forcing a rethink and a sell off. First off, this is the last of my bass guitars and it's one that I've tried to sell a couple of times before only for the same to fall through and for me to find myself glad it did. This has been my main gigging bass when I'm not using DB for as long as I can remember, and while it has become something of a Trigger's Broom, it retains it's core elements.... A stunning Warmoth ebony unlined fretless neck. The best neck I've ever owned, and that's up against Wal, FCS Jaco relic (the stupidly expensive one), MM, Sadowsky and a few others. Note that it's a Precision neck, 43mm at the nut, but relatively shallow also (60's profile as opposed to 70's). Neck is oil finished not varnished. Very small dink in the board on bass-side (last photo). Doesn't affect playing Completely unknown body that is in some respects a little agricultural in form (see PUP routes) but to which I have become very attached. It works very well with this neck, which is why they've stayed together for so long Lovely nickel Gotoh lollipop tuners with the no traditional two screws missing each (I have no idea why this happens but it seems to be the case on all my basses. It's easily resolved) A set of beautiful, toneful and articulate Wizard 64's running through a Kiogon circuit Bridge from a Fender Roscoe Beck sig, ludicrously over-engineered but once again just works with this instrument and allows some very accurate intonation/action/spacing tweaks, which I like Also comes with a harvest gig bag that it's lived in for most of its adult life and which I'd prefer to post it in if the buyer is unable to collect (inside a cardboard box also). Bag looks a bit rough in the photos but is in good condition and protects the bass very nicely I'm only selling this because I need the money and because I'm going to gig and record entirely on upright from now on. Part of me want to keep it to noodle on etc but the reality is that if I'm noodling it needs to be on upright or I'm always going to be that slightly out of tune DB player! I'm happy to negotiate on price especially around the gig bag, but I'm not going to part out the bass. No trades I'm afraid. Happy to send via courier. More stuff to clear out, this time a set I had on my DB for about 2-years, probably gigged about 20 times and rehearsed about the same. They are showing considerable signs of wear and will need a bit of TLC from here (the odd trim and some oil), but having played them before Xmas they still sound lovely and still have quite a lot of life left in them. I used to carry them to gigs as spares for my current hybrid set but found that guts that haven't been at tension for a while don't make a good emergency replacement mid-gig. This is probably a good way of finding out whether a full gut set is going to work for you and/or your bass without that rather mad expenditure (I bought these new from Thomann before the prices on them went crazy). I'll post photos of the set later today, apologies I'm not able to get to my studio until later this afternoon. Note that gut A and E strings are pretty substantial and might require some modification of your nut or even bridge. Note that this set has been on both 3/4 and 4/4 instruments Cheers Chris

Why do I have a single A string? It's the madness that comes with the search for the solution when your G, D and E strings all sound bloody great on your 4/4 but your A doesn't. Luckily a relatively cheap Evah Pirazzi Weich A-string came to the rescue so I now run Gamut guts on G and D, the Pirazzi on the A, and a Spiro on the E, and I'm happy. For the moment anyway. I meant to run some A-B experiments with it via our PA but never really got around to it. I've pretty much reverted to a Heil PR-40 and an H-clamp so my various double bass PUPs and mics will be up for sale here. I posted this in DB's For Sale but it' a great cab for electric also, fantastic cab, small, lightweight and powerful. Paired it with everything from all-tube Ampeg to Mesa to EA Doubler and it worked great each time, and that's with both electric and upright instruments. Another in a long series of decent bitsas from the workshop Apart from the Badass brifge, the Fralin PUPs, the Gotoh Tuners and the Kiogon circuit, I've no idea what the rest of this instrument is. Great amp for both electric and upright players, and as the name suggests, especially those gigging both on the same stage. Bought new from Bass Direct in July ahead of a load of gigs that were not supported by decent FoH, but house sale and move mean I need to clear out some stuff. Happy new year BCers! An upcoming house move and possible change of job means I'm moving on some of my bass gear to clear some space and bring in some cash, in large part because I'll be losing my Manshed Studio where all my music gear is stored as part of the house move (in fact I'll only be left with a double bass, an acoustic guitar, a mandolin and a fiddle, which is going to be a shock but is actually quite a nice place to be). First up a Mo Clifton EUB, bloody lovely thing, possibly the most ergonomic and double bass-like of all the EUBs available (I've owned most of the £1000+ models and the Clifton is certainly the easiest to set up to feel like you'r own acoustic double bass in terms of where and how the instrument's body works with the player's). I won't go into lengthy details now because I suspect that everyone looking at this post will know the Clifton's reputation and/or quality. There is a Realist Copperhead https://www.realistacoustic.com/realist_flavors.php under bass-side foot. Please post below if there are further details required. For the above reasons I'm looking for a quick sale hence listing at £800, it owes me close to £1000 (I bought it from a session player at the end of lockdown when we had a load of gigs and my DB was having a few problems. It's in lovely condition and comes with stand and case (I'll post pics of those later). It's one of the early ones built with premium woods and is a joy to look at and play. I'd prefer collection from Canterbury but may be able to travel to hand over in a couple of weeks, Omicron permitting. I won't be able to courier or post it. Sadly not trades or PX. I'll also be listing a new model EA Doubler and Wizzy 12 which work beautifully with this instrument and with electric bass, as well as a couple of fretless Fender-alikes and a lot of electric and double bass parts of the next few days as I slowly work through the contents of the ManShed Cheers Chris

The reality of selling on here is that you do, gear that's fully described and detailed tends to sell far more quickly than gear that's not 👍

That's the quite sobering reality of buying new gear. Trading is often a better bet than selling in this situation.

You're not really giving it a great sell mate. This is one great amp. Tone wise it's to all intents a powerful B-15, whilst doing a lot of what an SVT can do without the back-breaking weight. To put it in context, with the right cab and EQ this will give a Mesa BB750 a run for its money, with IMO the edge on tone. There's a thread on here about what amp to replace an SVT.
