  1. I think it means I should never have sold them
  2. The Band, Old Crow Medicine Show, also like playing Counting Crows and Black Crowes so something of a crow theme
  3. Close to £500, I hope that neck is better than it looks, the problem with those necks however is that they're usually quite a lot worse than they look, as soon as the finish on the board wears through the board itself chews up very quickly, requiring that both the board be trued and refinished even to make it playable. And then you've got whatever the hell happened to the headstock, which appears to have been used as an oar at some stage in its life. And then there's the body........ However, as I imagine it's been bought by a bassist/musician (I can't imagine a dealer or collector being interested), I sincerely wish them all the best, especially as the sale was for charity
  4. Agreed, amazing how many people have said that Excitable Boy has some interesting lyrics !
  5. Or this to really confuse everyone
  6. Indeed, each of them confusing the hell out of the g*******t who will always insist that the first chord in a song is by definition the root
  7. Awful wasn’t it, exact copy albeit devoid of Zevon’s eloquence and humour. Although his hair may be perfect, I doubt I’d care to meet Mr Rock’s tailor
  8. Plagiarism is the best form of flattery. Or of making stinky poo loads of cash quick. You choose
  9. Not cheap for that model and potentially very expensive if the seller is hiding anything about the issue. I had a problem with a US bought Modulus Flea, given US state law on these things the £600 repair in the UK at my own expense was the only viable option
  10. Nice album for the Zevon fan https://www.amazon.co.uk/Enjoy-Every-Sandwich-Songs-Warren/dp/B0002XED9E
  11. First rehearsal since March 2020 and we covered some band tracks. Ex guitarist has moved to drums and, having watched the BBC doc said "I'd always known about The Band but as a guitarist assumed they were a country band. But when you get into the rhythm parts, most of their stuff was really funky". My kind of drummer. First time I've played Cripple Creek with a drummer who got the feel. Singer & guitarist said "That felt really different, not sure what it was, bit it was really different". Sums The Band's music up nicely does that
  12. Yep, that finish is a design feature. I've always fancied a Precision Bass with twin SCs but sadly way more than I'd like to pay
  13. Looks like a great bass, but a bit pricey
  14. Digbeth doesn’t roll off the tongue does it
