  1. None if us have to deal with stinky poo at present do we.
  2. No, it was a flipping big cut in my finger - which stopped me playing for a while - from a very sharp and protruding corner piece on my Super Twin which was clearly rushed out of the factory without undergoing decent QC. Alex really didn't appear to give a flip to be honest. I put it down to a rare example of poor QC and he tried to excuse it on some other personal grounds, but all the same, I get the sense that he doesn't warrant my support any more after the above. We all made some very positive comments, and even if we didn't as Oscar said "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about" Anyone want to buy a Super Twin cheap EDIT I've posted information on the above here
  3. I will also check back through my comms with you Alex and take some time later to recount how badly you dealt with a previous complaint from me, which I decided to to make public then but now will.
  4. The most pathetic comment I have EVER heard from a business. EVER. You just cost yourself Alex.
  5. Good post, I don't really know Darkglass, but in posting earlier I was thinking about PJB; ground breaking cab design, but - IMO - nothing hugely special or game-changing in terms of amps. Yet the amps have been hugely successful, and of course PJB make some very very popular combos. Which seemed to me to have been the obvious next step for BF also. Ground-breaking cabs + decent heads = market leading combo?
  6. Folks I really don't want to sell this on eBay, so I'm happy to trade or PX for something music related, anything from an instrument through to studio gear through to hifi, WHYG? Cheers Chris
  7. Good post, if I were a pedant - which I am - I'd argue that the bass guitar does have a natural sound, it's just very quiet
  8. Good post, although I would have thought that BF have sufficient brand loyalty now to not have needed to produce a game-changing amp, just a good amp (which I guess is what many amp manufacturers do in reverse, game-changing amps, standard cabs)? I suspect a reliable and powerful unit styled to match their cabs would sell on brand power and aesthetics alone?
  9. Fair points, especially the use with FRFR. Seems risky however given that FRFR is still quite niche, boxes are an equally crowded marketplace as amps, and this is not a cheap unit. I certainly wish them all the best, my BF cab is awesome, but still think an amp would have been a better first step
  10. Yep, I know, that’s not what I’m hearing, definitely some PP on there. No problem, sounds great, but I don’t buy the pure P-Bass tone thing here
  11. Yep, I was expecting a PJB-esque horizon defining piece of tech, not, well, whatever the flip this is (I’m still not sure to be honest, despite their having emailed me telling me how good it is).
  12. Can't help feeling a strong sense of disappointment that their first venture away from cabs is this? Guess they have their reasons
  13. I suddenly feel like I've come to the wrong forum
  14. Is it easier to get a tube amp?
  15. So it’s a fuzz box with 10 controls an three switches?
  16. If you mean mic output level on the DI, it will be too low
  17. .... or list the whole bass here, just checked the eBay listing, you could sell for much lower here and still walk away with the same cash?
  18. Every dealer in the USA will tell you that you’ll make a whole lot more money parting out a bass as long as you can prove authenticity, but that it’ll take a while longer all thing being equal, and it can become harder to verify authenticity parts the further they get from their original instrument. With this in mind I think it would help your sale if you posted photos of the neck especially the heel as well as any evidence that both neck and body are from the same instrument, too many dodgy neck plates for sale these days
  19. Lovely tone, playing and track, might be wrong but on my device it sounds to me like there’s a bit of something other than pure bass signal in there?
  20. There is nothing worse than the guitarist who has no spare strings, the drummer who only has one set of sticks with him and breaks one of them showing off during soundcheck, of the singer who's got a dodgy mic. And I had them all in the same band on the same night in Kingston (Upon Thames, not Jamaica)! But that's not professional gear, that's professional attitude. No amount of expensive gear makes up for that.
  21. Ha ha, I’ll have that cab for sure Greg, stupidly sold my last 1516 as the result of it having broken my car. Let’s make it a date in 2021. Beedster girls are all doing great thanks, Ella wants to be a vet, Katie wants to be a scientist
