I occasionally look at my own FS listings, some gorgeous basses, and regret not buying them. I'm going to speak to my therapist about it

New Wave has thrown up some cracking bass lines
Beedster replied to Barking Spiders's topic in General Discussion
Gary Tibbs was interesting, stepped out of New Wave straight into Prog, or however you'd define the Roxy Music of that era. Love his playing on the Manifesto album, especially this one, tight as a badgers orifice -
I think there was in the 70's a bit of a gap between what you wanted a gig to be and what you might want a live album or film to be. Stuff that I sat through with glee in a field wasn't quite the same in the parents' living room or the local Odeon

Every time I listen to Zep I'm blown away by their creativity and work rate. Extraordinary talents

Labella B string won't go through bridge hole

Have you checked the nut also? -
Very much a listing of its era

Oh God, this is a thread that is going to run and run. My problem isn't the ones that haunt me because I didn't buy the item in question, but the sheer volume of those that haunt me because I did

More growl than bark I suspect?

Decided not to list things on eBay given their new T&Cs, but given I could do with moving this on, how about £275, bloody decent price for a very nice interface. You will probably not get a working RME unit cheaper than this anywhere, and if you haven't tried the rather classy RME preamps, converters and drivers, now's your chance

Just downloading this now, wow does it make Pro Tools looks dated. Hope it performs as well as it looks

Indeed, it rather rang out didn't it Jack

The world is full of those people mate, all too often 'Positivity and the need to exclude negative people from one's life' translates as 'Narcissism and the need to exclude anyone who disagrees from one's life". Glad it's resolved

True point, my BB2024 was one of the few P/J's I've owned that really delivered, but whilst the tone with both PUPs mixed was glorious solo'd, I still tended to gravitate towards towards the P-PUP in a band mix. Probably more about the course than the horse however

Good man, I sold all my fretted basses and how have a Jazz FL with rounds and a Precision FL with heavy flats. I seriously don't need anything else to gig and record. There are lines I can’t play well on a fretted instrument that I can play well - perhaps better is more accurate - on a fretless, Rhythm Stick being a good example. Jaco always claimed to practice on a fretted neck and perform on a fretless because the former was slower and harder to play. I completely agree with him

I doubt Fender Precisions cost a whole lot to build these days either
