  1. It's because you're listening to thw wrong modern music πŸ‘ I have a playlist call 'Great basslines' that are tracks that I hear on the radio, usually tracks that I'd not heard before, and usually by artists that surprise me, e.g., Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Billy Eilish etc. There is some great bass playing out there πŸ‘
  2. Ha, missed that, a common theme in this thread it appears
  3. ....and even given that, installing a Jazz(-esque) ashtray on a Precision is rather poor form πŸ‘
  4. It gets less attractive the more I look at it
  5. I find Mighty Mite hit and miss, like Fender when they’re good they’re very good, but unlike Warmoth and Allparts, they can be quite bad also
  6. Sounds like high praise to me πŸ‘
  7. I am SERIOUSLY tempted myself Lawrie but my GAS Therapist has been quite stern about it. Should have left the relationship purely professional and not married her
  8. Your life would be so much richer if you stuck to four Owen 🀣 Or poorer, depending on which way you look at it
  9. Glorious thing, I've messaged someone who may be very interested πŸ‘
  10. That looks pretty interesting πŸ‘
  11. Like you @Burns-bass, am album would be too much, but that clip brought a smile to my face πŸ‘
  12. ...and we were in the rather lovely Big Room to test the setup in gig-like environment, and as the result of using the monitoring, it was the first time I'd heard some of the keyboard parts in detail (PA in our usual rehearsal room is rubbish) πŸ‘
  13. I know just how good that bass plays and sounds ❀️
  14. That is prog! Sounds like a good gig πŸ‘
  15. It's 44mm at the nut and relatively flat, it is a sublime neck. It's temporarily on hold pending a response from a couple of interested BCers πŸ‘
  16. Tried this today and it worked a treat, thanks all πŸ‘
  17. I'd love to BUT it would require us to break the first rule of BandKamp, we perform the album once and once only πŸ‘
  18. With thanks to Steve @Steve Browning for donating the box and Dave @obbm for modifying it this is now solved, I've just run it at low volume at home and it works just fine, looking forward to running it slightly louder tomorrow in the big room πŸ‘
  19. I suspect the box does the same thing albeit with the advantage of being able to cope with both speakon and jack cables in a number of combinations πŸ‘
  20. Sold a rather lovely Jazz to Tony, a very straight forward and trouble-free deal as would be expected given his feedback here. Enjoy the bass mate πŸ‘ I've no doubt this is far from our last transaction
  21. I'd like to think so mate
  22. Glad you like it Tony, it did play really rather well, Precision necks work very well on a Jazz body, and John Shuker certainly knows how to build a Precision neck πŸ‘
