...and if you have 7.30 to spare, watch the video but stay focussed wherever possible on Moon, 100% in the moment, 100% in the music, and 100% in the zone. Sublime -

At 4.46 in if you look at the version with subtitles they're all singing 'Gerald'. They're not, they're actually singing 'cello', because during tracking PT apparently asked for cellos to play those stacatto notes but was told the record company wouldn't foot the bill. So the band - bless them - sang the word 'cello' instead -

Sat in the pub tonight discussing this very track. OK, JE was one of the great bass players, and Daltrey a decent front man, but Moon and Townsend are just incredible in this, in fact it's Townsend's guitar that holds it together at times. f***ing glorious 🙏 -

If playing quality wears off on an instrument I strongly advise you to avoid buying from me at all costs

I remember the first time i hear Take On Me I was speechless, I pick up a lot of talk about highly skilled and versatile female singers but his voice, his range, and his creativity are up there with many of the best singers in pop, I always felt he could probably have done some opera had he chosen to. He seems to be concerned that the disease will affect his singing, which is great news in a way in that he's clearly still thinking about singing and the future. Great news and I wish him all the best 🙏❤️

Not an easy lift trust me, I had to move them down the stairs recently, one of those jobs that you realise midway through doing on your own that you need two people for! I do not know Chris but will keep an eye out 👍 They come up occasionally but often around £400-450 It is, it's almost worth buying more basses to justify having one, have to say I'm not sure you'd get a 35" 5er in however 🤔

That’s very tough on him, best wishes to him and his family 🙏

Mesa Subway d800+ repair and replacement parts
Beedster replied to columbusrobbie's topic in Repairs and Technical
That’s what I meant, we knew we had to be careful. I think lightweight lures us into thinking it’s not so easily damaged 👍 -
Do not release it onto the moors 😆 Glorious old thing, please restore it and play it. It’s strangely beautiful 👍

Mesa Subway d800+ repair and replacement parts
Beedster replied to columbusrobbie's topic in Repairs and Technical
Something I love about old-school head is that they require and demand to be treated very carefully, not only because of the risk if damaging the amp, but the associated risk of damaging whatever the amp lands on (my old singer’s ‘Mate, your amp broke my car’ springs to mind’). I’m probably wrong but I do get the sense that most lightweight gear needs to be treated with more care than you’d think 🤔 Great that it’s fixed @columbusrobbie, thanks for the update 👍 -
Hi @Burns-bass, found it during my studio clearout today if you're still interested

Did you miss Habitat's new 'Bass Furniture' range All joking aside, listing these two here as despite them being a rather elegant piece of storage furniture in their own right, I used them in my studio for years as both seating and instrument storage..... As you can see, a rather elegant solution for the multibass owner, and one that allow you, if you're clever, to keep the true number of basses at home something of a secret 🤔 Having something of a studio clear-out at present hence the sale Stock photo here, I'll get photos of the actual units up later today/tomorrow. £300 each. These will be collection only from Whitstable or delivery if I happen to be going your way 👍

Or…… …buy the one that looks best and learn to play it 👍

I'm going to rehearse this bass tomorrow evening so can give some better feedback afterwards, although I'm starting to fall just a little bit in love with it already to be honest, the action goes stupidly low and given the is very smooth and solid it rather feels like I'm playing a Modulus or Status 🤔

Slimming down my studio gear at present, aiming to only have what I need rather than a lot of spare capacity! This has been very well looked after and has probably ad no more than 200hours use (still has the plastic stuff on the display!). I only use it for tracking as I use a UAD Satellite to manage plugins while mixing. Come with all original packaging/documentation. Happy to courier or for collection in person in Whitstable or London Also moving on a pair of Towsend Labs/UAD L22 Sphere modelling mics here
