I was sitting down playing my one and only bass the other day (and it's been about 20 years since I can talk in terms of only one bass) and found myself really missing the B-10. It's a really very interesting and unique bass; not a hybrid EB/DB that does neither well (as for example is the case with so many EUBs), but a truly unique instrument that can nail both EB and DB tone when required. Alongside my old Wal, it's probably the only electric bass I've owned that I could say hand on heart was a genuinely quality instrument. Goes without saying that I can recommend the seller also! Tenner a month for the next 12 years 10 months Clarky?
There was similar thread to this a few weeks ago. In light of that thread the person you're looking for might have 101 genuine or personal reasons for losing touch - or he may not. He would almost certainly have valid complaint at having his surname & home town posted on a public forum without his knowledge or consent, which (IMHO-FWIW-YVMV) is equally "bad from". Such questions are best done initially via the mods rather than publicly for best results.
+1, no disrespect Daf, but if you're marketing/PRing your products in this manner this kind of thing is surely one of the business risks? There's 1000 legitimate reasons that he might not have got them back to you, and on that basis the thread is inappropriate. Chris

Option 5. Buy a used original or aftermarket fretless neck for one of your basses (I recently sold an EBMM fretless neck, they come up quite often. Jazz necks even more so). If it doesn't work out, you can sell it on with little or no loss and neither of your current basses are any the worse for it. C

Hi folks, a bought a used acoustic last week via the internet from a London shop. The invoice stated that I could return within 14 days. I really didn't like it (I've played the same model elsewhere and this instrument didn't sound anything like as good as that one had) so I emailed them and asked if I could return as per the invoice. They've said a flat no as, in their words, the returns policy only applies to damaged or not as described goods. Any thoughts? Chris

Thanks guys, and good point re moving stuff on Paul! Seems the guy who offered the trade has disappeared so perhaps I'll never know. Amazing how big a Precision feels after a week of playing guitar!

Use flats, I love the fatter tone of slapped flats compared to rounds, a much fuller, almost kickdrum-esque thud. You lose zing at the top, but not as much of the highs as you'd perhaps expect.
I'm glad that desk suited you well. You're really going to miss it when it's gone! I just wish I had the funds for it. They just FEEL so nice while you're using them
It did charic, but to be honest, despite that fact that I love owning it and using it, it's simply too big for the space I have at present. I will of course regret selling it, but it was great to get to understand how a good desk works and to do some - to my ears - great recording with it. It is a very nice desk to use, and I loved mixing down on it, there's something special about those slight changes on the slider making such magical changes to the mix, so much more so than moving a graphic on a screen with a mouse
I was going to say the rack power unit would be ideal but then I'm sure most of the gear in my rack doesn't use kettle leads but their own power jack adapters with trannies/wall warts - will have a check tonight!
Probably not what you need mate, although it's an amazing space saver if al your gear is kettle lead powered
PM'd
Replied Steve
If you can't find one that's the same physical size, make sure at least it has the same pixel dimensions.
Oh oh, getting messy already.........

Thanks Charic, I get a lovely warm feeling coming back to this thread! My screen is 21.5" so I'll have to go for a 20" as I can't find any 21.5 standalone Mac monitors. Should it be pretty much plug and play?

Just re-read this thread, what a great resource! Anyway, for family reasons I'm downsizing my studio at present, which is a shame (e.g., the Mackie 1640i desk and rack hardware are off). I do however want to continue to record ons small scale, and specifically want to make tracking at the screen via Pro-Tools less hassle by using a second monitor (allowing me to have both of the displays up at the same time). Can I run pretty much any Mac monitor from my iMac? I've looked around and being a hardware numpty, don't want to buy a monitor that doesn't work (for example, a lot of the Mac monitors suggest that they run from laptops - which I guess is the standard use of extension monitors - and provide the spec of laptop required, bit not much more). As ever, your help is gratefully received C
Damn. Missed the Heil
Sorry mate!
Have a think man! I can throw in my M-Box 2 Mini and a Pro Tools 7.3 license into the deal (plus some cash too) if that'll sway you! May only be 2 channels but it's done me for the last 4 years happily! Plus the Musicmaster is a beauty! Wouldn't be getting rid unless I was in desperate need of studio gear for the ADR suite at the Film studio I've been building with a mate (www.liverpoolstudios.co.uk)!!!
Jake, you have a PM

Mesa Boogie M Pulse 600 bass amp for sale
This used to be mine, and tommyk's before me, I can vouche for the history of this rig, it's been well treated for all of it's life and is a monster of a stack! Jim's a damn fine man to deal with, so trade with confidence brothers! Who ever gets this will f**king love it. Also it was serviced at the beginning of the year, and again by Jim after he got it from me, so it's a clean set up. Enjoy!
Ha ha, and mine and WaterofTyne's before that. This unit has some serious BC history! Lovely amp. -
Playing a lot of guitar these days, and finding the switch back and forth between 6-string and long scale bass (Precision) when recording a challenge. I've been offered a Musicmaster in a trade, what do you folks think? C
Did you get the J200 for the project?
Hi John, how are the Rics doing? Yes, bought it a month or so back and loving every second of playing it. I got a mid '90's 50's Reissue and it is an extremely well built and toneful instrument. It's staying as the studio acoustic, alongside the Jap Precision, 70's Strat and Ovation Mandolin. PM on its way re 'other things......' C
Don't fancy a 1978 Fender Musicmaster for the desk do you????
I'd certainly take some trades for the desk but I'm not really after a short scale bass to be honest (although in the small amount of studio space I have left a shorty's probably not such a bad shout really so I might give it some more thought). What am certainly after at the moment is a smaller (perhaps 4 track) interface and a decent 12-string electro acoustic, Taylor or similar. Cheers C
We're all going the same way. My dream of a practice room has a wedding dress, sewing machine and 'shabby chic' dresser in it. Good luck with the sale!
Tell me about it Lawrie, all the best with yours
I'm looking for some monitors, if you've any to list PM me!
I'm keeping the monitors I'm afraid
