1.
There really should be pics on this topic... any chance please?
Although there's a Facebook link to Clarky playing it in this thread http://basschat.co.uk/topic/178649-gherson-rckenfaker-gone/page__st__20__p__1703273__hl__gherson__fromsearch__1#entry1703273 C
2.
There really should be pics on this topic... any chance please?
I completely agree, but see http://basschat.co.uk/topic/173238-notice-for-owners-of-rickenbacker-copies/ for an explanation. You can PM me for pics via email Chris
3. Will also consider trades for a small lightweight combo (especially PX with a Walkabout Scout) C
4. Happy to trade this for a bass I could sell on for the same ball-park price (Fender/MM etc). Would also consider trade for a high quality small/lightweight combo C
5.
Erm, me again. We are not money laundering. Chris bought back a bass I bought from him (again). We are both basically pathetic with attention deficit disorder or OCD or something PS, Chris was a gent as ever
Ha ha, we should probably have a combined feedback thread to reduce load on the BC server mate
6. I recently bought a bass from Clarky that he'd previously bought from me and which there's probably a strong chance - given previous delaing - that both he and I will own again one day As ever, he was a real gent. C
7. It's this model http://www.mesaboogie.com/Product_Info/Bass_Cabs/PowerhouseCABS/PHbass1x15-LG.htm C
8.
Sorry to hear this Chris as I know how much you put effort/time into making this bass look, play and sound exactly how you wanted it to
Cheers mate, it ticks the boxes for me for sure but have a few big things coming up (I'll keep you posted) and so need to reorganise things a little. C
9.
OK Beedster, I'm from the North, ergo a bit 40 watt, but your ad header says sold???
Ha ha, I'm from the south and clearly of lower wattage still! Now revised. Cheers mate C
10. Apparently the link doesn't work but if you put 'Mesa 115' into the search box at the top it'll appear (I'll dig out pics later). Happy to post at buyer's expense C
11. I sold this a few months back, missed it, bought it back, and is for sale again following a recent review of gear/space/money issues
12. Not getting much use and with increasing need for space I'd rather let this go than 'The Monster'. I'll post pics later but it's this model http://www.guitargui...12062615115332. What's it like? Well it's Mesa, it's everything you'd expect it to be! Big, heavy, great sounding and built like a tank! Pretty much as new condition at well under half retail price (original cover & casters included) Chris Edit for pics
13. I'd love to have either the justification or the money to buy this, great bass at a great price. I'm going to rummage around in the furniture when i get home to see if I can rustle up the necessary coinage (no joke, we sold a sofa recently and I pulled out about £25 before it went)
14. Great looking bass, and knowing that Greg is not only a great guy to deal with, but that he only buys/plays high quality instruments, that is a great price.
15.
phew. hold onto that bass, its a good un
Agreed Greg, I was balancing the longtime dream of owning a decent quality DB with the pragmatism of needing a DB-like instrument to play in a current project, and the latter very nearly won the day. Correct decision made I think.
16. I'm going to withdraw from the band and withdraw this bass from sale. I feel better already
17. I'll take these Alex, can you PM me Paypal details Thanks Chris
18.
Yes, you should definitely keep hold of this beautiful bass for at least two years, when I will have saved up enough to give you the cash price.
I think that's the way things are going Sarah. Having said that, having too keep the bass is hardly an imposition is it Chris
19. Right, given all the mutterings along the line "I don't get Rickenbackers" etc on the site at present, now's your chance to own a pure tone monster and, depending which side of the argument you're on, either prove yourself right or - if you're feeling brave - perhaps prove yourself wrong. Another angle is that I still owe Clarky some folding, and I've started to notice shifty looking people hanging around where I live. So to avoid any intra-forum 'situations', a good cash offer will secure this baby
20. Thanks guys, I have to say I've had a think over the weekend and I'm really starting to wonder whether, if I have to sell this bass to fund an EUB to travel and gig with the new band, whether the band in question is really what I'm after. This instrument is such a complete joy to play, the tone is simply in a different league to any other DB I've played, that I'm starting to think I'd rather drop the band and keep the instrument than the other way around. Good EUBs can do a decent tone for sure, but even the best is a long way off the sheer pleasure and vibe you get from playing DB. Perhaps I need to find a local quiet band
21. BTW the PUP (under bass foot of the bridge) is also included in the price. I forget what model it is but I'm sure Greg will clarify if needs be. Chris
