You'll need to develop an extremely nonchalant expression also almost as if this slapping thing is what you do to warm up.
If like me you're a really crap player you can get something close to a slap effect by simply not controlling the degree to which the strings vibrate against the board. Statistically you'll be on the money tempo-wise 10% of the time. From there it's a matter judicious editing
Get that vid of the french guy on the Cordes Lambert thread, watch it four or five times, and ask yourself.............

You'll need a hat also
I like the one with the Dubouchet duet with the red faced chap playing the banjo. Can't find it now but hope someone will post it. Mrs Crap DB Player said she thought he was possibly the scariest looking musician she's ever seen (the banjo player that is), and she's lived with me a fair few years so has met a few!

A couple of guys have PM'd me about this case since I sold it. Through a somewhat bizarre chain of events I now have another one, so if you'd like to get back in touch, you can have this one!

I could have put money on the main contributors to this thread... I've only got Barrie to chip in and I'll have the 'full house' that I predicted!

I'm getting in touch with my solicitor
ebay on Thursday along with my other odds and sods. Anyone............?
The V-Type is a lovely preamp, but I have three rack preamps and four rack power amps so can afford to let one or two go. Last in first out
Right, this is defo going to ebay on Thursday along with my Trace V-Type preamp, my Ovation Legend, my 3u Laney power amp and various other odds and sods that I have to sell pretty quick to fund a probable imminent purchase

Relief that your briefs aren't being digested, or that I didn't buy a poopy bass?

Nothing wrong with the bass, surprised it went as low as it did really. My pants will live to fight another day
Clarky is, as has been said several hundred times above (and a few of those by me), a 100% top guy to deal with. He even managed to impress my extraordinary hard to impress that-London-type friends when he collected the bass in question. Look forward to next time mate
